    bcworkz (@bcworkz) I believe you supplied all the information I need to to the drill, I see what I will be able to do, besides crashing my site and most of the entire national security system of some random country.

    Thank you!

    bcworkz (@bcworkz) OK, eventually I recalled a few things and now I am ready to edit the php file adding your lines and see what happens. One thing… what is the php file I have to edit, there are a million…

    Thanks!

    bcworkz (@bcworkz) thank you so much for your kind efforts… you say “…using the usual block editor methods…”. Where can I find the editor on the WordPress platform? I have a balooney website, I use Microsoft Expression 4 and more or less I can handle a rudimentary html language uploading the html files via FTP. Where is the editor I can use to fix and update my files of my blog? I forgot…

    Thank you!

    bcworkz(@bcworkz) when I opened my blog with WordPress I made enormous efforts to learn the basics of HTML and come up with a decent format. I forgot all. Suppose I can manage to work out a solution as you suggest, my doodle will appear automatically at the beginning of every single paragraph, right? Or maybe there is some trick I can choose whether I want the doodle or not? I know my questions may sound irrational to you, I should go again through the tutorials maybe.

    threadi (@threadi) & bcworkz(@bcworkz), thank you both for your answers and help.

    Thank you George,

    you solved this. The default was “link” so I changed to “none” and it was effective.
    The “secret” option page is very useful and I have to curb myself or the risk is me deleting everything.
    Again, thank you and have a great day,
    Stefano

    PS I am sure you know that “Appia” was and ancient roman road that connected Rome to the Adriatic sea. Beautiful family name.

    I probably miss some basic element of editing and management via plugins; I succeeded when I opened my blog but now I erased my memory. I tried two of them but even if installed and enabled, I couldn’t find how to handle the color in both the blog title and any post. I just want to change color of the two items, now black, to red.

    Plan B; add some instruction to the style.css file. There are lots of people having the same burning desire to change color and lots of suggestions are given. Like this one:

    .site-title a {
    color: blue !important;
    }
    .site-description {
    color: blue !important;
    }

    I added those lines using the section appearance->customize->additional CSS but nothing happened.
    I added the same to the style.css directly on my server found at blog/wp-content/themes/twentytendot1/ because I use a child theme. Nope.

    I am not a coder so there must be rules to me unknown. For instance, provided that the code lines I want to add are correct, can I add them anywhere or I have to in some specific section of the file ?

    Does what I am saying make any sense to you ? Should I leave the blog title and the post title black or I may insist in my goal and set my provider server on fire and cancel terabites of data ?

    Hi Steven,

    I deleted 2 plugins that dealt with fonts. No clue why I had two. Now the situation is back to normal but I have lost some features totally superfluous like the heading written in red in Calibri.

    Should I desire to enhance my posts again, would you suggest any plugin ?

    Thank you !

    Update: I deactivated a plugin named Feb Fonts and the error messages are gone, but the fonts I’ve been using are gone too. Maybe the plugin is not working properly ?

    Steven,
    awesome. Thank you so much, that’s even better then my target. I removes the spiral thing because the result is good like this.
    My knowledge of WP coding (and coding no matter) is poor to say the least. By adding your code in the box as per your instructions, where did that go, I have no idea. Was it added to the style.css ?
    Again, thank you for your quick response.

    Fascinating how I forgot everything and your suggestions at first were totally incomprehensible to me. Like you spoke a foreign language using an alien alphabet. 24 hours after I resolved I was hopeless and helplessly dumb, out of the blue one of my memory bank opened.
    Strange feeling, must be the result of one year of COVID.
    Now I can waste a lot of time trying to improve the look of my blog with absolutely poor results.
    Thank you again, hope you are or will be vaccinated soon.

    Sal,

    suddenly all you said makes sense. The line is saved on my server as well as all sources and yes, I can code something. I have uploaded a new “divide” with filezilla, I still have to figure out which is the CSS file that contains the instruction about displaying the jpg file and the width assigned to it, but it’s a matter of a little patience and add some WD-40 to my synapses and the job will be done.
    Thank you for your help,

    Hi,

    please let me be rudimentary in my explanations. I know I set up my blog but I removed from my memory all the steps I’ve made in 2012.

    OK; I am writing a new post. If I want to add a JPG that separates two subjects in the same post, I go to the library and search for “divide” and I have that grayish line I drew with fancy design. No green lines are shown. I add a block on my draft containing an image called divide_line3.jpg. Done.

    The green line you linked: https://www.stefanome.it/blog/wp-content/themes/twentytendot1/images/divide.jpg (the green line)

    is what I am looking for but cannot find it anywhere. It is NOT in my library otherwise it would show up when I key in “divide”. Where is it, how can I find it and edit it or change to a new JPG ? I drew this jpg and instructed that i wanted the green line between two posts and it does so, but how did I gave the instructions, I don’t know.

    I guess somewhere in the administrator menus there must be a section in which I am allowed to customize the appearance of my pages, specifically my line to separate two posts, but where is it ?

    Ste

    (@stefanogger)

    Thank you for your reply, divide.jpg is not the green line but a jpg that I use to separate different subjects in the same post, if I delete that I do not believe I reach for my target. I hoped that the green line was a JPG itself but I cannot find it anywhere. I hope what I am saying makes sense.

    Besides, I am not really familiar with the CSS coding, I think there is a WYSIWYG kind of instruction that displays the green line after each post, if I had to code a CSS I would not be able to do it.

    Sorry about that.

    Hi Adclar10,

    Nope ! Nothing has changed so far. I have no clue. I must assume that this bug is harmless, until my files are deleted, my account canceled, my bank account frozen, my driving license shredded. The point is; how can I fix a problem if I do not know what kind of problem we’re talking about ? A conflict of what ?
