In reply to: sticky postBeen there..(and so on:)). I′m not an exprt myself but have had some experiences now. My advice for you would be to carry on a while yet with the free, well functioning theme you use, and when you start feeling comfortable and want to be able to do more out of it, look after paid solutions.

In reply to: sticky postExactly!
Great to be able to help, good luck ahead.PS, there′s also the possibility to buy (not too expensive) themes, built on original themes like the one you use now, like I did: https://www.turrenn.net . Looks good and even better functionality regarding presentation of posts and pages. Only one hazzle is the developers are developers, not merchants:)

In reply to: sticky postYeah, seems like exactly the same. OK; I think, if I remember correctly, you have to do at least three (minor) things: 1) Mark the posts as a category, in addition to “sticky” (if I remember correctly, the wigdet lets you choose what category you wnat to display on top), and 2) -and this is the important one; mark several posts the same way. Then you will see (hopefully) that the theme is made for up to three (one line) or six (two lines) posts displayed at the top. So the Shaded area kind of means that there is room for more posts. 3) You also have to – in the post edit section – to choose an image that should be accentuated with the post (this is not the word the theme uses, but I can′t remember what word it is: it should be an option to the right of the edit page (of the post).
This might hopefully help you solve it?

In reply to: sticky postSorry, can′t remember any more. I′ve changed theme and “moved on”. But I think I might just have been unaware that I had to mark the posts as “news” or likewise/otherwise in order for the wigdet to pick them out and display them as they were intended.
Not sure if there was any error with the widget after all.

In reply to: [ProtoPress] Nice theme – terrible supportI don′t think you should base a commercial idea on 24 hours response time for critical/urgent matters. Also still if we live in different time zones.

In reply to: [xili-language] Remove "original" menu when changing languageDon′t want to be pushy, but I′ll try one more time: anyone know how to make the widgets on the left side menu (at https://www.turrenn.net) to change language when the top menu changes (from norwegian to english and vice versa)?

In reply to: [xili-language] Remove "original" menu when changing languageWOW! Great, it worked! Thanks a lot, Superb!
But still there is one issue left, the secondary menu to the left should preferably change language as well as the top menu and posts when I switch between norwegian and english. Example: The heading “Siste innlegg” (on the secondayr left menu) should change to “last posts”.
Would you have any tips for that too?
I would so highly appreciate it!

In reply to: [xili-language] Remove "original" menu when changing languageThanx a lot for the reply. But that′s exactly the page I used to get as far as I did. But I couldn′t quite rap it up. By far because I′m not exactly a technical wizard. I just don′t understand the technical terms that surely would′ve made me able to complete the process.
I can′t find anything in that article that specifically will do the job to remove the norwegian original menu when switching to english?

In reply to: sticky postHi, and thanks for replying!
I′m not sure though. that I quite follow; I have made merely no adjustments to the theme, only colors (I′m also not a ninja:)) So it would seem a little strange to me if any css should be the cause…?I think I will try to deactive plugins first, it seems to me to be a more probable solution as I havent made any adjustment to the theme as I know of…
Thanks again!

In reply to: sticky postHI! Thats right, I set it back to normal. But I can change again and leave it with the sticky-problem “on” – it′s not like I have a million visitors a day – yet:)

In reply to: cant find my own register pageNo it′s a form made through Profile Builder. There is one page but it only has a short code to PB in it. S? it′s PB that generates the form. I was looking for the form in PB but couldn′t find it. But i guess I just have a bad recollection of what it looked like. There is a form in PB, I just couldn′t rememeber that it looked like that. But it must have been that one, so I guess case is closed.
But thanx a lot anyway for your reply!

I found the solution: I unconciously tried to link buddypress login button to the bbpress login page. had to go wrong.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: linking register button to register page…some extra information: I have also downloaded buddypress, and I constantly get a message saying I need to assign a wordpress page to the buddypress registration component. If I connect the buddypress component to the wordpress-registration page, then boom, I get to a registration page when I click the top left “register”-button. The problem is that I want to use profile builder, not buddy press for registering…
