i will do, thank you, just checked and i have set wpfastest cache to delete cache every 10 hours, but this may just clear the cache and not delete, its a timeout rule, i’ll speak to wp fastest cache tomorrow, thanks for the help, much appreciated… ??

ah, looks like that could be it, i use wpfastest cache and i have jut logged into a few sites and deleted the cache, now the number of folders have been reduced and the number of files on my server are considerably coming down… u have been so helpful, could i ask like you say, these “cache files” need to be deleted every now and again, what are they and why are they saved nd what happens when you delete them?

I hope you don’t mind me asking, just trying to understand what’s happened and what to do in the future… ??

just been looking on the server and i have 2 folders within wp-content, they are cache and et-cache, both have lots of folders within each, not sure what these are and if this is normal? ??

i don’t know, all i know is that the other day the number of files on my server was around 955,000, no after updating all the websites on the server, the number of files are now around 999,000. I have not created any new websites on these servers so it’s only since the updates… ??

ah thank you, i’m not very technical, but do the best i can, just trying to question why my number of files have shot up, if i move a few sites i will be fine… ??

ps, last question, when you say the WP_NONCE is expired after 12 hours, is this a setting within wp fastest cache or is it a setting within wordpress?

Ah, thank you. I have been chatting to someone on facebook who said they had worked with the author of wp fastest cache and 4 hours was the ideal setting, like i said i’m not too technical, but just trying to learn, so to best stop the form in divi asking to refresh the page and try again, is 10 hours the best setting to stp this, if so, why 10 hours? Thank you in advance, just trying to learn… ??

UPDATE! After updating the plugin to the latest version, this stops the error, so please mark this ticket as solved/closed, thank you for your help… ??

Hi, it has never happened before on all previous versions, all my sites migrate fine and like i said, when i drop a version the migration shows no errors, but on this version that throws up the errors, it does however then let me log in and everything looks fine. I will try it with the latest version but can you tell me, when i get this error message on migration and then it does let me log in ok afterwards, does this mean that everything is ok as i don’t understand what the error message is saying as i’m not technical at all? ??

UPDATE!

I just tried deactivating the latest version of yoast v12.8.1, migrated the site, which migrated fine and i logged in for the first time with no error messages, then reactivated yoast and all seem to work fine, problem is i have nearly 200 websites that are backed up with the latest version of yoast, i can update yoast on them but cannot rollback so the issue still exists and hopefully you can identify the issue for a future fix?

Hi, thank you for your help, would it be ok though to disable it on the plugin instead and leave it enabled on divi, this way i can keep better track of what is enabled and where, just better housekeeping for me? ??

tuncayeke… could i ask your advice please? I have posted an issue where when i updte my wp fastest cache plugin, my sites are mostly blank, i have to login and clear the cache via the plugin, then everything works. On my theme that i use (Divi) it is enabled to minify and combine both js and css… but in the wp fastest cache plugins, also enabled is: combine css, combine js and minify css, would you know if this may be the issue. not sure if it the same as your answer for the post above. I am not techie at all, but trying to find out why my sites break after updating this plugin, i use lots of other themes and they all work after a plugin update, but they do not have the setting to combine and minify js and css, thank you in advance for any suggestions you can offer… ??
