Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: WP 2.5 Images upload problemWe use WP for all of our sites. My wife is an artist, so uploading images is critical. After upgrading to 2.5.1 we’ve had nothing but problems with the Add Media routine. If you go to our site and check out this page: https://stermer-cox.com/?page_id=53 you will notice the difference in the first three images from the rest. Those were made with the new Add Media, all the rest with the old. The code it creates is different; the shading around them thumbnails is different; the thumbnails don’t size proportionally (yes, I have it selected to do that); and the alignment part doesn’t work correctly. I’m tempted to go back to the older version or to another software package altogether. I like WP, but with these kinds of problems, we may have to go to something else or I’ll have to go back to developing our sites ourselves.

In reply to: template design, can it be simpler?There’s a theme generating web site (https://www.yvoschaap.com/wpthemegen/) that might be a good place to start. I’ve played around with it a little but not enough to say whether it’s worth the time…

In reply to: Edit is stripping out table <caption> elementI have noticed that WP strips a lot of code out of pages. I’m having so many problems with it stripping all <p> and </p> tags that I’m about ready to redo my wife’s site back to HTML. I don’t know what’s going on with WP, but I’m getting very discouraged with it.

In reply to: Footer bumping up in MSIE 7.0I was looking through older post and found this article. If you haven’t found a solution, try looking in the footer file for:
#footer{
clear: both;Change the “both” to “none” and see if that helps. I had the same problem with a theme I’m using and this fixed it.
