In reply to: 404 Error Message when trying to access WP postsEsmi, I don’t know what you mean by “your site.”
Do you mean https://www.setmeuponehost.com? Or do you mean stevebeckow.com?
I also don’t know what to reply to you when you ask me where I located my WordPress folder to. I think I’ll have to ask my developer to answer those questions.
Thanks,
Steve

In reply to: 404 Error Message when trying to access WP postsOK, I think it’s pretty clear that it’s a plug-in conflict I’ve been having. Everything is up and working again.
Many thanks to you wonderful people who assisted me to find out what was happening to my site.
Thank you,
Steve

In reply to: 404 Error Message when trying to access WP postsI’m afraid I don’t know how to answer that question. I don’t know what “where” refers to or what answer you’d want from me.
It’s hosted on mediatemple.net’s gs server in Los Angeles. Is that the answer you’re looking for?
WordPress?
I should mention that the site home page totally disappeared but then I deactivated all the plugs-in and the issue I’ve been having with the site seems to have lifted. I’m now going to reactivate the plugins one by one.
Back to you in perhaps half an hour.

In reply to: 404 Error Message when trying to access WP postsI’ve been away at a medical appointment.
So far I deactivated all my plug-ins and tried the site again. The same 404 error reappeared.
I’m now talking to mediatemple.net to see if this is a bandwidth or gpu issue.
After that, I’ll change themes.
At the moment, I can’t even access the home page so the issue has moved further into unworkability.
Any ideas on a web developer I can contact to pay to help me out of this deep pit I’m in?
Thanks,
Steve

In reply to: 404 Error Message when trying to access WP postsThey are gpu’s and relate to bandwidth, I think.
I will phone mediatemple.net but so far they’ve said it isn’t a server problem but a WordPress problem. Round and round I go.

In reply to: 404 Error Message when trying to access WP postsI’ll try changing the theme now.

In reply to: 404 Error Message when trying to access WP postsOK, I deactivated all plugins but that did not change the situation.
My niece/developer said:
“just looked at my mediatemple.net account… I think the traffic from your site is just too much for the plan i have purchased. That never occurred to me until now because i thought it was unlimited but i went into my account and looked at something called gpu’s and it says i have purchased 1000 and I’m at 1400. I don’t even know what that means!?”
Could a bandwidth issue cause the whole site to shut down and a 404 message to appear?
