Hey…sorry for the radio silence, but I worked on this over the weekend, with Bluehost. Turns out there was malware on all four sites, and using the Malware.text file on the BH File Manager, I went in and deleted all I could find. I prepared a Word Doc. with status reports on each line of code I deleted, thinking that might be useful, to show which I could find, which I couldn’t.

Talked to BH on Saturday, they rescanned, and since I had done such a stellar cleaning job (apparently not), they reactivated my account. I wanted to focus on the stevekleier.com account, before checking on the status of the other 2 plus mine (marketingbywebdesign.co). One site was up(daverhein.com), the rest still down, so I called BH again.

Talking with them, I learned that I may have deleted folders that were key operational folders, like “wp-config” and “index.php”, which I acknowledged had probably happened. So…probably the fifth person I spoke to, recommended doing a restore, back to September 8, first on the Kleier site, and then on the other two (Artmassage, and Marketingbywebdesign). The Kleier site came back! I then did the restore for the last 2 sites (/\). They are still not back, and I thought of redoing the restore, but in talking to person #6, I learned that I was really reinfecting sites by restoring.

BH said they could do another scan, but if malware shows up, again they would have to deactivate my account. I cannot get into the admin dashboards for the Art and MWD sites, but I did deactivate Wordfence for Kleier and Rhein, and install “Anti-Malware from GOTMLS.NET” on those sites.

I am stuck and don’t know what direction to go. I do wish Bluehost could segregate website files in a person’s hosting account, so that they would not have to deactivate everything.

Sorry for the long explanation/description…anyone game to help? I would be forever indebted, and we could figure out a compensation scheme.

The Facebook business page is published, and I am waiting on the ownership verification. How did you learn the page was not publicly available? Thought I would share a screenshot, but don’t think that is possible.

Could this be a Jetpack setting? I have been over that once or twice, but will check again…

Aha…and I imagine that is a setting on Facebook?? It is a business page, and it has worked before, so hopefully it is that easy a fix.

Why did I suddenly start receiving notifications of postings on this thread…I have nothing to do with this, except that I use Colinear on a few sites. Would that be a reason that I would be notified of this conversation?

Before we sign off, as I mentioned, I thought the Landing Page plugin might have been a source of the problems I was having…do you know anything about Landing Pages, or could you point me in the right direction? My client wants to collect contact info from prospective clients and then direct them to the promised brochure, video, or whatever. I tried to do one manually, for Low Back Pain and Sciatica, but he wants it in more of a template form.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have determined that it was the Yeost SEO plugin that was causing the dysfunction. Guess I will have to reinstall that plugin. Thought I sent a response earlier thanking you for the input. Deactivated and then one by one reactivated plugins…Thanks, Steve

I don’t know how I got a copy of your inquiry, because I am a forum-user like yourself…maybe you looked at my posting before making yours?? I might be able to help, though.

It would be good to see your site, first, to see what you mean by “the image display on the front page”. It sounds like you may have uploaded a huge image from your media library, and you just have to click on it, to get a menu of location and size controls.

The image collage you describe sounds like a gallery, which is a function of the media library’s transfer of images to a web-page. I could show you how to work with that, too.

So…I have tried the Additional CSS avenue, adding the whole code @addweb… provided, before opening a child theme, and when nothing changed, I removed the code from the Custom CSS window. I then used the Child Theme Configurator, to make a child theme, but don’t know if I did it correctly.

I put the code in the Add’l CSS window, and again nothing changed, and then tried to pull up the 2000 lines of code in the Editor, but only about 15 showed. I must have not copied the right files??

If putting in the 2 segments of code into the css.style sheet, should I remove the block of code in the middle?

I tried the Additional CSS route, but there is only a save button, not save/publish, and nothing changed. You meant that I should put both sections, right? Do I then need to alter the percentages, in the 3 “max-width” and “max-height” instances? Do I need to change the “width:200px:” ?

The Wellness theme appears to have been totally altered, and the new version sucks. I am trying to get through to the theme developer, to ask what can be done to return to the previous look. The site affected is https://www.jenniferbuys.com, which is now on Motif…just switched back to Wellness (new version).

Any thoughts, and were you able to resolve your issue?
