You should be able to decide between two animation styles when creating your markers, one which simply allows the marker to drop into the map where the other will allow the marker to bounce on its point.

You will by default be allowed to add as many of your own markers as needed when making use of the base version of WP Google Maps.

Unfortuantely, Async/Deferred loading isn’t currently supported, however, this will be supported in the upcoming release of WP Google Maps V8.1 which is currently in beta testing.
