In reply to: [Easy2Map] Map zoom in to marker position based on searchHi,
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately neither of these features currently exist in the plugin.
The challenge with zooming in on the searched-for result is that there may be more than one pin matching a search term, and since the search results are instantly updated to whatever text is entered in the search text input, the map would effectively zoom in and out based on the search results returned, probably resulting in a poor user experience.
On the second point (restricting zoom to a particular country), Google maps does not provide native support for this, meaning one would need to specify the latitude and longitude bounds of the area to which zoom is restricted. This would require a fair bit of work on our side, and while this feature is not currently offered in the plugin, if we receive sufficient requests for this feature, we definitely consider adding it.Kind regards,

In reply to: [Easy2Map] I need a map of the whole worldHi there,
This is indeed possible, you simply need to zoom the map out to show the whole world when creating the map. Whatever the zoom level is when you save the map is what will be used when the map is rendered on your live webpage.

In reply to: [Easy2Map] Map not loading- empty frameHi,
It hasd probably to do with the fact that Google Maps now need an API key associated in order to work correctly.
Please install the following plugin, and it should resolve your issue.

In reply to: [Easy2Map] Can I upload a custom map to useHi there,
Unfortunately the plugin only uses Google Maps. There are a few great plugins that offer integration with OpenStreetMap and MapBox, if you would rather use those maps on your site.

In reply to: [Easy2Map] Map not loading FirefoxThanks very for the feedback. I think W3 Total Cache was minifying the Easy2Map plugin’s javascript, which has been known to cause some issues. I used to release the plugin with minified JS, but have since stopped doing so because of issues it caused.
Nonetheless, W3 Total Cache is a very popular plugin, so we will look into the exact reason for why the minified JS doesn’t work correctly.

In reply to: [Easy2Map Photos] [Pro] Photos Are Very Small – How to Enlarge?Hi Mary,
This is definitely a wrong setting in your map’s configuration, it should not be rendering like that.
Please try increasing the height of the image.
The width and height ratio of the image need to be maintained when its width is set to a percentage value (otherwise it would warp when the page was resized).Let me know if this resolves your issue.

In reply to: [Easy2Map] Map starting pointHi Eugene,
Absolutely, you can set the default zoom to any you want. Whatever the zoom is when you save the map, that’s how it will first appear on the webpage.
So in your case, in the map admin screen, zoom out to show the whole of Australia and save the map.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Easy2Map] Map not loading- empty frameHi TheSavant,
The problem is happening because (for some reason) the easy2map script is loading before the xml2json script.
Please email me @ [email protected] and I can send you a fix.

In reply to: [Easy2Map] blank on creating new mapHi there,
Sorry to hear you’re having these problems. Please could you try the following:
– check your site’s database to make sure that the Easy2Map tables have been properly created
– *if you’re able to* run the website locally on your development computer to see if the problem exists there too
– if possible, do a process of elimination by starting with a blank WordPress site, install E2M and make sure it’s working, and then add other plugins one by one. Of course, this may not be practical if you’re deploying the plugin on an existing site.If you still don’t have any success, email me on [email protected] and we can try some further troubleshooting.
Kind regards,
Steven
