Ok, so I just played around with the Media Library some more….if I add the image once, it is the wrong one (and no longer on my computer) but if I add it a SECOND time, the correct image loads into the library. So I had to add all 6 images twice, then delete the “old” ones. This is after flushing the cache. Seems like a 4.4 bug to me?

One more bit of info….even the email alerts from Wordfence are not getting through my client’s MS mail system, again being sent to their domain email.

This is a heads-up for others with similar form email problems here….

First, I donated last Tuesday and filled out a premium ticket. Have not heard from the plugin author in 6 days….so in the meantime I ran a couple of experiments that someone may know what is going on.

The email addresses in the contact forms on my client’s website were changed to a gmail account and EVERYTHING works as it should. This seems at this point to be a problem with Microsoft Mail (Outlook) which is the only domain email system Godaddy offers these days. 99% of the contact form email was not getting through that system. As I said, when it was changed to a gmail account everything works just fine. Even had someone who uses Outlook sign up in the contact form and they got the form’s automated response via their MS mail.

At this point it seems that Microsoft mail (Outlook) does not like or allow form email being sent to its own domain email.

Does this provide a clue for anyone who might be in the know about this email system?

Many thanks if anyone knows if there is a parameter or setting that needs to be changed in Microsoft email.

Ooops, looks like my client deleted the form on the contact page until a solution is found…

I’m just trying to nail down the problem, not pointing fingers at anybody. Some of you know how crazy your web clients can get when something stops working correctly. My client in this case is using email at his domain, so no Yahoo, Gmail, etc. are involved.

Fast Secure Contact Form is a *wonderful* plugin, makes my life much easier. Chad, please do report back after you test with the latest WP version. Thanks to all who have responded. Hoping to get this working through a great forum community of people who are a ton more knowledgeable than I am!

BTW, the site is https://www.williamhudsonattorney.com. The opt-in in the sidebar immediately sends the user a canned email but ignores a BCC email to the owner, so he has no way to find out who is requesting his promotional free material. The contact form on the ‘contact’ page of the site does not work at all, I and others have filled out the form several times and my client gets nothing in email. I set up all the parameters per the tips listed in this thread, even the unused default forms in the plugin….still nothing.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I just got off the phone with Godaddy. A very helpful tech person. He claims that Godaddy does not interfere with emails generated by this contact form. I am suspecting a WordPress bug in the new release?

One of my clients is not getting emails, either. WP 3.9.2 on Godaddy Linux and I have done all the steps, including the recommended plugin, WP MAIL SMTP per your TIPS sheet. Still nothing. The BCC email option does not seem to work either. I would hate to have to migrate all my clients away from Godaddy for this problem. Do I recommend that all my clients need to hire a php programmer for custom contact forms?

I actually do use that plugin, unless there is a plugin with the same name.

Hi Tara, I just temporarily switched themes to the 2013 theme and the “leave a comment” link appears under the blog posts. When I switch back to the fully custom theme I created in Artisteer, the comment link disappears again! Any thoughts?

Thanks, Tara, all that you suggested has been done to no avail. Such a weird problem!

Using ftp, I removed the plugin’s .php file. Then I was able to log in correctly. WP automatically deactivated the plugin and I no longer have errors. The anchor links I generated with this plugin seem to still work just fine.

THIS PLUGIN DOES NOT WORK with WordPress 3.5.2 DO NOT INSTALL!!!

Thanks, Macarena, I just found another post that told me to go to settings/discussions and uncheck some items. I deleted and recreated the pages and everything seems fine. Thanks for your reply!!

#alchymyth, I have having the same problem but what do you mean by “css fix”? Where is that file located and what is the name of it?

I also have this problem, every new page contains “comment” “Leave a Reply” but I have found 4 files on my computer named page.php (local host of wp with wampserver) and only one of them contained that line, which I edited to no avail, the new pages I created after updating to 3.5.1 today still contain that stuff.

Is this a bug with 3.5.1? Can anyone tell me how I can fix this?
