In reply to: [Flare] Facebook 'like' doesn't shareCould be the theme you are using – try switching to default twenty twenty theme temporarily to see if anything changes. I ended up switching to Digg Digg share plugin, which works perfectly. Its a real shame about Flare as I loved its design.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Activity Plus] having links open in new / blank windowI’m having the same problem. I looked at the file above and noticed that there is already one instance of target=”_blank” but have no idea where a second should be?
<?php $target = in_array(BPFB_LINKS_TARGET, array('all', 'external')) ? 'target="_blank"' : ''; ?><div class="bpfb_final_link"> <?php if ($image) { ?> <div class="bpfb_link_preview_container"> <a>" <?php echo $target; ?> ><img src="<?php echo $image; ?>" /></a> </div> <?php } ?> <div class="bpfb_link_contents"> <div class="bpfb_link_preview_title"><?php echo $title;?></div> <div class="bpfb_link_preview_url"> <a>" <?php echo $target; ?> ><?php echo $url;?></a> </div> <div class="bpfb_link_preview_body"><?php echo $body;?></div> </div> </div>

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] Manual Uninstall?It turned out that the problem wasn’t with the plugin after all, but with my web-host mistakenly blocking my IP. I will remember the info you have given though, in case I ever need it for future reference.
Sorry, scrap that. I see the record is kept on database.
Thanks. I downloaded the plugin before removing it via FTP. Where can I find the record of subscribers so I can upload that file to the new version?

In reply to: [Facebook AWD All in one] Cannot Moderate CommentsThanks for that. I hope you don’t mind me putting this in this thread but I’m also having problems with images where articles are shared to Facebook. The Facebook debugger is reporting the following error:
Object at URL ‘https://welfarenewsservice.com/damning-report-on-dwps-benefit-assessment-contract-with-atos-healthcare-published/’ of type ‘article’ is invalid because the given value ‘%POST_IMAGE%’ for property ‘og:image:url’ could not be parsed as type ‘url’.
I would like the featured imaged to be shown.

In reply to: [Facebook AWD All in one] Cannot Moderate CommentsI’ve managed to fix the problem with moderation. Strange, but I had to add my facebook profile to the list of moderators on the moderation tool despite being an administrator. At least I can moderate new comments now.

In reply to: WordPress 3.5 add new post is not workingFor anyone who is using the bullet-proof security plugin, and who have managed to pinpoint the wordpress 3.5 errors to that plugin, the developer has rushed out a fix for the free version of the plugin. I must admit I haven’t tried it yet but I hope that it does fix the problem so I can remove the debug from my wp-config file.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress 3.5 add new post is not workingIf you are using Bullet Proof Security that is one plugin which is causing the problem and the developer is working on a fix. Deactivating and/or uninstalling wont fix the problem. It’s due to ht-access being taken over by the plugin. The fix I posted will resolve the problem until the security plugin is updated with the fix. You should be able to remove the entry from wp-config afterwards. ??

In reply to: WordPress 3.5 add new post is not workingAdd this to the bottom of your wp-config file.
define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true);
It may slow down the admin side of your site but should fix the problem until wordpress themselves come up with a fix.
I seem to have gotten it working by re-publishing all of the feed sources however the plugin only seems to be fetching feeds from a small number of the 39 sources I have set up. It is also fetching some very old stories from those feeds, some of which are months old. I only want to fetch around 5 feeds from each source (which would amount to just under 200 on show) and no older than a few days old (week at most). It would be helpful to my readers if I could categorize them too, which I understand isn’t yet possible? Do I need to manually delete old feeds or will they be deleted automatically, allowing space for only the very latest? On a plus note I really do like the ‘lightbox’ which allows people to read stories without having to leave my site.
I have added the page which should contain the feeds back to my sites menu so you can have a look yourself.
I have a total of 39 different feed sources which no doubt sounds a lot but the purpose of my site is a news site which aggregates news stories from a large number of sources. I have had to temporarily remove the page the shortcode is on from the sites menus because the feeds were not updating from all of my sources. I was lucky to get one or two news stories come in through the feeds per day, even though I know that there are probably close to a hundred (or more) in total because I also get feeds delivered to me personally via the program FeedDemon, and so I know each of the feeds are valid feeds. I’m wondering whether the large number of feeds may be causing the fetch to time out?
