In reply to: [GAinWP Google Analytics Integration for WordPress] Not straightforwardJesterMess, thanks for the trying to help. I’ve changed the review already because after fiddling about I got it working. However, Pingdom says it is slowing page loads. I’ll test further and see what happens.
Thanks for the info.

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Staging siteI have bought licenses for Mailpoet in the past, but I wasn’t keen on version 3 when you introduced it, so went with another plugin. Ignoring simple questions like the one above is not a great way of winning back customers!
wpis_wysija_email_user_stat
wpis_wysija_user
wpis_wysija_user_listI ask again, will excluding those save all the data on my live site, please?

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Staging siteHi Tobias,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes, it would move the database. It sounds more complicated than I’d hoped, so it might simply be easier to ensure that whenever I update tables on the live site, I always update those same tables on any staging site, too.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Staging siteHi,
Thanks for the reply.
I’m pushing a complete site from staging to live, so newsletters and subscribers will be lost if I don’t exclude files, hence asking which ones.
wpis_wysija_email_user_stat
wpis_wysija_user
wpis_wysija_user_list
If I exclude those, will all my live site data (newsletters and subscribers) be kept, please?
Sorry to ask in the Mailpoet 3 forum, but this is such a simple question, so I hope it’s okay.
Thanks again,
SteveThanks, Paul. Appreciate the help.
Thanks for answering so quickly.
SteveHi Paul,
I did wonder about the server IP, so asked my host. Still waiting for them to get back to me.
I use a caching plugin (WP Rocket), but not an image optimization plugin because I use Photoshop. Though Rockt does do lazy loading, etc, if you want to count that as image optimizing.
No, I migrated to Siteground two weeks ago. Is there something I can do to “refresh” the server IP, just in case, please?
Thanks,
SteveHi Paul,
Thanks for getting back to me.Yes, it’s showing Remote_Addr.
My audit trail has repeated messages about this login gout problem saying: “Access to an established user session from a different IP address. Logging out.”
It does give a different IP address to mine, but how can that be when it is ME!? Then, it shows I’ve logged back in and displays my correct IP.
(The trail only shows a few such events, nowhere near the actual number of times it logged me out incorrectly.)
Any idea what could be causing it and how to stop it, please?
Thanks,
SteveThanks for the info, Jelena.

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Invalid dataThanks for the temporary fix, rrvv.
Unfortunately, I get all my users to vote over a 48-hour period, so constantly monitoring for problems and then updating won’t work for me.
I was hoping the developer would create a proper fix, but though they emailed me initially and looked at the problem, I’ve heard nothing since and as you are still having this problem, they obviously haven’t fixed it.
Makes you wonder how many people suffer this issue but can’t be bothered, or don’t know how, to report it.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Where are tables storedHi Tobias,
Thanks for the info.
So would the easiest way be to save the Live site’s entries with the value tablepress_table outside my WP installation (but still in my hosting account) and then copy them back into that folder once I’ve migrated the Development site from the staging area, please?
By the way, when I created the dev site I simply let the plugin copy everything over, including the tables, and they appear to work okay. Maybe the migration plugin is a really good one and really can handle this stuff!
Thanks,
