In reply to: [AddToAny Share Buttons] url shortenerThanks.
Thanks for the info.
Why did Shareaholic never reply to this comment? I did google that phrase. There are some pretty damning articles, e.g.
“the plugin actually hijacks links in blog posts. Whenever the plugin recognizes a link to one of the merchants they work with, the link is re-written.”
By not giving a justifiable explanation, you are making yourselves look as guilty as hell!
I was going to use your plugin, despite the one-star reviews. But I can’t now when you will not – or cannot – explain your actions.
Thanks for the reply.
I’m pleased you’ll be incorporating user-based actions. Do you have a rough release date for that please?
I’m sorry, but “you don’t see a problem” in having people pointlessly do the same task twice? On the first screen when creating a newsletter a user must add title, list, and time interval. This is all repeated on the last page. What’s the point? Why not streamline the process and dispense with the first screen? Or the last? There is ZERO benefit to having two screens that do the same thing.
Yes, you are adding new features, but that isn’t a reason to allow clunky features to remain.
Any web designer knows to streamline a process so a task can be completed in as few steps as possible. Why have steps for no reason?
I don’t mean to sound awkward, because I like Mailpoet, but some elements of it need attention, this being one of the easier ones to correct.

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Updates?Hi Hector,
Thanks for such a quick reply.
Does the plugin options or custom code that enable it to use a rolling time period, please? I want daily stats but I also want to avoid having very early morning periods when there are few views so not enough data to produce the statistics users see.
I’ll keep an eye out for your update. You’ve got great reviews!
Thanks again,

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Link colour for hoverHi Tobias,
Thanks. I didn’t appreciate the shortcode needed spaces while the code needed hyphens. Works now.
Thank you!

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Link colour for hoverExcellent. Thank you, Tobias.
Just a quick followup question, please.
When I use code like this:
[table id=7 row_highlight="X||Y" row_highlight_full_cell_match=false /]
How do I format the text if I want X to be two words, please? I’ve tried using a hyphen between the words, but that doesn’t work.
Thanks,

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Limit table widthWorks a treat. Excellent support. Thanks, Tobias.
I’ll experiment with the add-ons and be sure to donate if they work as well as expected!
Have you ever considered incorporating them all into a premium version and either asking for a larger donation for that, or simply selling it?

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Limit table widthHi Tobias,
Thanks for such a quick response.
The problem is that some columns have only 2 letters in their cells, so when the table stretches across most of the screen, there’s a lot of needlessly empty space.
I tried this:
.entry-content .tablepress { width: auto; margin: 0 auto 1em; }
It works okay, but it takes out too much space on desktop.
If I add padding, that will cause a problem for mobile devices, won’t it? I guess the same goes for giving the table a percentage of the screen, though I don’t know if there’s a way around that. Is there, please?
Ideally, I’d like a the desktop view of the table to be more compact than it is without that being detrimental to mobile users. I figured the only way was to limit the size of the table somehow. Any ideas, please?
Thanks,
Steve
(I’ve had a look at that extension, but have yet to try it properly, thanks.)Forum: Plugins
