In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Conditional cell formattingHi Tobias,
Thanks for trying, but the reason I can’t get it to work, despite spending hours struggling with it, is that it simply does not work.
If I use shortcode
[table id=4 row_highlight="xyz" row_highlight_full_cell_match=false /]
Everything shows up in the source code and works just fine.However, the moment I use
[table id=4 row_highlight=">>>" row_highlight_full_cell_match=false /]
It doesn’t work AND it doesn’t show up in the source code.(When I say it doesn’t show up – I mean that literally – row_highlight=”>>>” etc is just not there!)
I’ve wasted hours and hours and hours on this, going around and around in circles thinking it was me doing something wrong.
Do you know why your code won’t work when symbols are used in this way, or do I just have to give up on it, please?
(I’m using <span class=”hilite”> blah blah blah >>> </span> in the cells I want to highlight. Could that be a problem? That said, I can’t get any symbol I’ve tried to work, e.g. ? and ?.)
Thanks,

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Conditional cell formattingHi Tobias,
Thanks, but I need to know where to put what I find, please. I’m sorry because I don’t mean to be a pain, but I have been testing and it isn’t working, so I need precise instructions, please, on:
1. which page to look at the source code (Tablepress Options page?)
2. exactly where to paste that class once I find it (in the code for the options page, or in the shortcode for the web page itself, or both?).I have been trying different things, but nothing works, which is why I need to check that I’m pasting the info in the correct place.
Exactly which page should I look for the source code, please – the Tablepress Options page? That’s what I’ve been looking at and for which I pasted the results in my previous comment above.
Do I paste the class in the code for the options page AND the shortcode, or only one of those, please?
Thanks,

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Conditional cell formattingHi Tobias,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I’m sorry, but the Support Forum converted what I copied and pasted into actual symbols (which could provide the answer) and the email I received about this post contains different elements to the post itself so I don’t know which I’m supposed to follow!
I’m really sorry, but I’m getting nowhere with trial and error, so can you explain more, please?
I would like to use >>> as the keyword, so I’ve used that in the relevant table cells.
Here is what Firefox shows in the source code for the Tablepress Options page (I’ve added spaces to avoid any conversions).
[options] .tablepress .row-highlight->>> td {
[source code] .tablepress .row-highlight-& gt;& gt;& gt; td {
[options] .tablepress .row-highlight-& gt;& gt;& gt; td {
[source code] .tablepress .row-highlight-& amp; amp; gt;& amp; amp ;gt;& amp; amp ;gt; td {
1. What do I put in the shortcode, please [without the spaces, of course]?
“>>>”
or
“& gt;& gt;& gt”
or
“& amp ; gt; & amp ; gt; & amp ; gt;”2. And what do I put in the Table Options, please [without the spaces]?
“>>>”
or
“& gt;& gt;& gt”
or
“& amp ; gt; & amp ; gt; & amp ; gt;”I’ve also tried to use a ? (diamond symbol) without success.
Thanks,

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Conditional cell formattingHi Tobias,
Thank you for such a speedy reply.
I’m sorry, but I’m not sure where to put the resulting class.
I tried using “>>>” as the keyword, but depending upon which page I looked at, I got both
“>>>”
and
“>>>”I believe the first is correct, but I’ve pasted it into various places only to have nothing work.
Where exactly do I add it, assuming it’s correct, please? Here?
.tablepress .row-highlight->>> td, {
background-color: #000000 !important;
}And the shortcode?
[table id=4 row_highlight=”>>>” row_highlight_full_cell_match=false /]
Does that remain “>>>” or do I have to also replace that with “>>>” please?
Thanks,
SteveHi Tobias,
I’ve only just found and started experimenting with your plugin – it looks really nice!
To continue this post’s idea, is it possible to not only automatically highlight a cell’s colour from its contents, but to increase that cells row height too, please? E.g., if the keyword is ONE and a cell has ONE in it, can only that row be green and double in row height?
(I know I can change individual row heights with the CSS options, but I want to avoid that and have one global solution if possible, please.)
Thanks,

In reply to: [Elementor Website Builder - More Than Just a Page Builder] PHP problemHi,
According to my cpanel, it’s 5.6.23, as mentioned above.Steve
Thanks Dalton Rooney, that works a treat!
I agree completely with solosails and others here.
I buy Woo extensions, so Woo gets its fair share for giving me basic ecommerce software. I pay for my extensions, my theme, my hosting, for everything – it’s mine – so I and only I should decide what gets plastered at the top of the page.
I stopped using Microsoft anti-virus because you couldn’t turn it off when you needed to. Microsoft Support couldn’t understand why anyone would want to do that. It’s the same here, it doesn’t matter why we should want to, we should have the right to choose whether we do or not. It’s outrageous that we don’t!
WooCommerce is being very backward in its customer service here. Good customer service means giving the customer what they want. The simple fact: it’s my site – I should say what goes on it.
