Tried this, it does the same it just replicates the post_content data and therefore the media IDs it references don’t exist on the new site.

Also, when building the WordPress environment using npm run build after I have installed for this first time I then ran npm run build again, I was expecting this to keep my wp-config.php file pointing at my database so I don’t have to go through the installation everytime I build. Am I missing some setup step or do I need to perform an install each time I run a build?

Yes, I appreciate there are block plugins to enable enhanced functionality like this but this really is something which you shouldn’t need to add extra plugins to achieve, for me this is a must for the core block.

Yes that has gone now for my deselected user roles – which is good.

However I have noticed the Rank Math SEO button now appears top right (in the editor) for user groups which have been disabled, this shouldn’t be there for the user groups Rank Math is disabled on.

Clicking this icon displays the text “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”

Well with this site we didn’t do anything other than the normal setup so it added the https://www.domain.com to the list, but obviously then that subdomain is only whitelisted and we needed the domain.com adding for it to work.

No it’s not white listed, only the automatically added version from the site URL is there.

I guess it’s more a question of whether the domain and all it’s sub domains by wildcard should be included in the whitelist by default then?

Although this would remove the select box – wouldn’t this remove any select2 select field that was placed in that area?

I can’t see why this would need to appear anyway in my scenario?

At the very minimum this should have an identifier on it so we can just remove that one select2 on that page rather than them all.
