Clayton, Once again, my thanks. Taking what you said to heart, I deleted all of the previous files, versions, etc. and began from scratch, step-by-step, using the 5-Step outline on WP.org. Funny thing, was up to now, the most time-consuming activity was finding a decent, free, FTP program. Tried Filezilla, (direct from SoundForce) but it failed to install from 3 different downloads. I finally settled on Core FTP.
Now my only question is connecting through Core FTP: which used ID & PW do I use? The set from WhoIs.com? From my account login? MySQL database? And/or does “LOCALHOST” play any part in setting up the core FTP?
I set the location at https://mysite.org/blog/ where I created the Blog subdirectory.
Thanks for your patience and advice. It is much appreciated!

Clayton, Thank you. I understand everything you said. That’s why, when I finally found the MS WPI, I used that to install WordPress on the server.
As I mentioned above, I believed I was on the correct path when I utilized the Web Platform Installer. However, when I followed its direction to reboot so it could complete the installation, nothing happened after the reboot. Thus, I am stuck in a void.

Tara – Thank you for replying, however the problem is that I don’t know what the exact error(s) is/are! That’s why I grabbed a screen cap of the config.php file with the thought that if someone more knowledgeable looked at it, they might see where we mesed up.
