From AirStory, I have no control over the HTML (and associated Ids).

Whenever I create a new element in AirStory — headings, paragraphs, lists, etc., then, AirStory will auto-insert an ID for each of these elements.

A copy / paste operation will copy the ID’s too, but that’s invisible to AirStory users.

I discovered this issue by publishing my document as HTML instead as exporting it to WordPress. This way, I get a side by side comparison of the text I typed -vs- the HTML output.

Ok, I’ll go ahead and open a ticket with AirStory support.

Update: this problem also occurs with other HTML elements such as H1, H2, paragraphs <p>, etc., not just lists.

My hosting provider says that the mcrypt extension was deprecated in PHP 7.1.

I am using PHP 7.2. Is there a workaround?

I am out of luck with the Airstory WordPress import.

After opening a ticket with my hosting provider, they cannot do anything for me, as they standardized on CentOS 6 (that’s pretty old stuff) …

And I cannot migrate to another webhost, I still have several months to go with my current contract.

For now, I will manually copy/paste from Airtable to WordPress …

I can confirm the same issue. My production site uses PHP7. P3 is only displaying a full yellow pie chart. With PHP5, it displays fine.

Thanks for your suggestion. I changed the settings from “fail” to “warn”. The article is now published.

About the News Preview tool, I recall it’s been mentioned in previous threads. I was just trying to do my homework before polling you. No matter what I do with this tool it does not work: drag and drop a .json file on it has no effect, nothing happens. And attempts to open a .json file from that tool is not possible, as the .json file is dimmed and cannot be selected. I’m using the Mac OS X version.

I ran into the same issue for a brand new post. Sync Status = Pending.

I installed plugin “Post Meta Manager” and I deleted the ‘apple_news_api_pending’ key.

The Apple News post “Sync Status” changed to “Not published”.

I updated my blog post and the Apple News post “Sync Status” = Pending again …

Although I have “enabled debugging” in the “Publish To Apple News” plugin, I don’t receive any emails (I normally do).

I downloaded the json file and tried to read it with Apple’s News Preview app. But the app won’t open it.

Later on, I saw a warning message on the API Settings page of Publish To Apple News:

The following components are unsupported by Apple News and prevented publishing: div, a, strong

Running Publish To Apple News v 1.1.5.

Any hints?
