I have the latest stable version of PHP, and the latest version of the plugin.

-I’ve deactivated all my plugins but the G+ comments,
-I’ve deleted it completely and reinstalled it
-I’ve gone to the other link you provided and as per a suggestion there, copied and pasted that link into my htaccess file, and tried both php 5.3 and 5.3
-Removed the cache plugin I was using.
-Gone through the FAQs you list and done each step

    Still nothing.

It’s a real shame because I just don’t have the time on my hands to spend figuring out what the problem is and really enjoyed it for the two or three days I had it working. It kicks the other G+ comment plugins’ butts…

Is there anything else I I’ve not tried or that could be the problem? I’m using the latest version of StandardTheme for my site…

    Hi Brandon
I updated and then it crashed my whole site and I had to uninstalled the plugin through my FTP client. I waited about a day and tried installing the plugin afresh, and this time it installed but it won’t work and gives me this warning:

Google+ Comments for WordPress requires PHP 5.3+ and will not work unless you upgrade PHP.

I really liked this plugin the best because I have some posts that have so many comments I don’t want to lose them if I install other Google+ plugins and I liked how yours had the tabs where you could alternate between native commenting and trackbacks.

I don’t want to have too many versions of comments on my site and I liked yours best.

How do I upgrade my php or find out what version my site has?

    David,
I went to ‘all’ and searched for it and it was there and I could activate it. Weird.
Was it always called “Amazon Send to Kindle” or just “Send to Kindle” before?

I may have overlooked this when I deleted and reinstalled it (it might have been there the whole time and I didn’t see it). But when I upgraded from within the WordPress dashboard it did “disappear” and give me a notification error that the plugin directory (as it was named) no longer existed.

Thanks for the tip, I just checked and it seems to be working again.

It is not listed in either ‘inactive’ or ‘recently active’ plugins, but when I go in through my FTP, it shows that I have the plugin there.

I had it on two different sites, and had the same result when I updated it in each site.

When you deactivated Jetpack, did you see your ads show up again?

EmmaAlexandra, I followed the instructions in the link and used my FTP client to delete the maintenance and upgrade thing and STILL can’t access the dashboard from logging into the site directly.

I have the same problem, and found this thread from searching for solutions. I did the manual upgrade and and still can’t log into the user panel. Any other solutions?

Any responses or solutions to this?

I get the exact same error myself. I’m using it on two sites, and the one that’s now giving me this error it happened after I upgraded to the latest version of the plugin. Only difference is my error is on line 65 or something. But on the other site I’m using it on, it works perfectly. I’ve tried the same thing on both, so I don’t know what the problem is.

@iseesystems How do you roll back to the previous version (for those of us who are more of a newbie than others about this)?

I also deleted the plugin to make sure it was the problem, and my sidebar is still pushed all the way down to the bottom (www.fireonyourhead.org). I am open to the possibility my sudden sidebar woes are not related to Disqus, but was once I installed the plugin that it got screwed up like this. I just tried the new version, and I upgraded to WP 3.0.1. No change, still looks like crap, but only on single posts, not on my home page.

What gives? This plug was awesome until a few days ago…

Same here. I’m currently using WP version 3.0 and have not upgraded to 3.0.1 yet. Are you guys using the latest version of WP? I am tempted to upgrade to see if it fixes, but if it still does this for others using 3.0.1 then I don’t want to bother.

Nevermind, my webmaster went in and just removed it or something for me.
I’d still like any help so I can do this myself if it happens again.

    Thanks!
