Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Tableless Admin ThemeBut using tables to display tabular data or a list is valid XHTML and very practical, the W3C recommends the use of tables only to display tabular data or what WP is doing, so there is nothing wrong with that.
There is no way to have a “tableless” admin, all admin plugins just use a different stylesheet with added icons possibly, there is no change in templates.

In reply to: Special characters in pagesHmm if it is an obvious problem, I wonder why WP developers have closed the ticket, they shouldn’t have. But I assume they misinterpreted it as an issue with the WYSIWYG editor.

In reply to: Special characters in pagesOkay, then you should go to the trac and report your problem on that same page I linked, you can login with your WP.org username/password there, reopen the support ticket and explain your problem thoroughly.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: Special characters in pagesAre you using code view or the WYSIWYG view? you must switch off the view that lets you format you posts, like making letters bold etc (thats WYSIWYG), turn that off and use code view, it is selectable in the “code” tab. If you use the default WYSIWYG option naturally it will screw up you HTML tags.

In reply to: How to place youtube video in privately hosted wordpressGet the source code Youtube provides and insert it under the “code” tab in your WYSIWYG editor, it disables the editor so it is only a plain text. Then switch back.
