@serj-air Then please let the author of the plugin know how to prevent this unwanted behavior!? I think a solution will result in new code?

@mada0068 Did you find a working solution for you? I just tried again, but same problem as every time. The Instagram algorithm seems not to learn as somewhere was written. I’m going to deactivate the plugin and have to post manually to Instagram in future… :-/

Be careful with free proxies: You do not know who is operating them and if they can sniff at your account data. I did not try Instagram proxies yet, because I do not trust a free nameless server.

thanks for giving the opportunity to use an Instagram proxy. That could be nice for people having the money to buy a clear Instagram proxy. Unfortunately not for me. ??
I do not really know what to think about free Instagram proxies; I read that it can be dangerous to use them if you do not know who is operating them. It’s possible that they only want so sniff at your Instagram account and password and/or data.
Did you use one to test the new functionality? Do you know one that is safe?

I guess waiting and trying again will not help. It didn’t help for me.
I have the same time discrepancy. I posted with German time 11:49 pm, but Instagram shows me the time 2:49 pm when trying to login (challenge required). I guess, the Instagram server is in USA and the time there is 2:49 pm?! Perhaps this difference of 9 hours is the reason that causes Instagram to block the posting?
Anyway, this doesn’t help me…

There is an other WordPress Plugin to post to Instagram with the possibility to use an Instagram proxy to post instead the web server to Instagram (in best case it looks like the IP of a private person). This seems the only possibility to solve this permanent issue, but buying such a proxy is too expensive for me because I do not make money with my blog. So, it looks like I have do post to Instagram manually. :-/

Unfortunately after following the steps, actually the last step ‘Other Types of Reports’ doesn’t lead to a form where I can type in my problem, but only leads to some boring questions and answers. And the navigation on the left is an endless loop. Instagram is pain in the ass. ??

Same problem, no solution. I am trying now for weeks, Instagram doesn’t accept it. I cannot even find a email address or a form to submit the problem to Instagram. I would like to have a white list, wehere I can list my server’s IP address, but I do not know how to contact Instagram and cannot find anything on their help sites.
I fear that I have do do my postings manually again… :-/

What I ask myself is why do other user not have this problem with their web servers? Is it possible that Instagram has banned the IP adresses of 1&1 / Ionos from Karlsruhe in Germany?

Sorry, I tried both tips: I hit about 30 times the button ‘Yes, it was me’ in the last days and got codes via e-mail or SMS and also deactivated my Instagram account yesterday and activated it just a few minutes ago. Nothing helps.

What sure could help is to accept the instagram question with the web server IP (start Instagram with a browser on the web server), but unfortunately I have no GUI or a shell on the web server (only FTP). So I cannot make Instagram learn to accept the web server’s IP.

I don’t know what to do else. Also I found no other tips with Google. It seems that I cannot use the plugin longer. ??

One question (or two *g*): How long will the excerpt be (how many characters or words) if I give no limitation? Is the standard WordPress excerpt method used then? I mean the same excerpt length like it is in my WordPress blog?

That’s really nice to hear. I like that development goes on and this plugin improves. I also would be very happy to see the blog article’s excerpt in the instagram post as subtext, so it’s easier for the people to classify what they are seeing and what’s the topic of the post.

I don’t think so. It works for my purpose. And I didn’t find any other plugin for posting the image of a blog article to Instagram…
