In reply to: Taxonomies YAPB = Archive TemplateSo if I’m not stating something the right way, let me know, and I’ll try to explain as best I can. I’m kind of hitting a brick wall on this issue, would like some help; at least someone that could point me in the right direction…

In reply to: wp-comments-post.php = Blank page : Broken comment abilityI went back and thoroughly looked at my files, and it had something to do with YAPB and the way I tried implementing an include. I’ve rebuilt my template, and it’s working now.
Totally a noob issue; thankfully I kept a level head instead of reinstalling like some suggestions were out there.

In reply to: Getting blank page after trying to commentOkay; one thing I was hesitant to do because I wasn’t sure if I’d lose formatting or not, was to change back to the default theme. In doing so, I’ve discovered that commenting DOES work when switching back to the default theme. So there’s something wrong with the modified theme I’m using.
Can someone point me in the right direction then? What are my first steps in trying to fix the blank wp-comments-post.php page? Where should I begin?
Thank you to those who will respond!

In reply to: Comments don’t work; blank pageThe above link is a dead link. I’ve got the same problem now … completely out of the blue too. For no apparent reason, comments are dead – when I try to post one, I get a blank wp-comments-post.php page. I’ve upgraded as well to 2.8.1, but no luck there.
Can someone post a good step-by-step solution, and maybe even make it a sticky? I’ve been looking through the forums here, but have not found a solution yet to this problem that works (for me).
Please, if someone with some skills can help out here, it’d be greatly appreciated….

In reply to: help displaying number of posts in category and current post numberI too would like to know … even if it’s not possible, at least telling us this would save us time from looking online for it (which I’ve wasted days doing now).

In reply to: Line Breaks in RSS Feed?Thanks Kafkaesqui … Hope this helps, otherwise, just let me know what I’m missing in my explanation.
What I would like to have the RSS feed display are the custom fields for the recipes in the website. There are a total of 5 custom fields being used, in conjunction with the
content
field. The custom fields are:<?php echo c2c_get_custom('Preparation Time'); ?>
<?php echo c2c_get_custom('Cooking Time'); ?>
<?php echo c2c_get_custom('Serving Size'); ?>
<?php echo wpautop(c2c_get_custom('Ingredients')); ?>
<?php echo wpautop(c2c_get_custom('Directions')); ?>
The
content
field displays a short write-up of the recipe by the author (as described above). As I stated, I have right now theexcerpt
field filled with the information from all 5 of the custom fields, which I copied and pasted in and then formated by adding<br>
tags because the line breaks were not showing up. I’d like it if I could get the custom fields to display in the RSS feed, thus saving me the heartache and pain of having to manually go in and edit information into theexcerpt
field.You can view what the recipes look like online here. Except for the short paragraph written by the author, everything else (from Title down to Directions) would ideally be shown in the RSS feed.
This may seem ridiculous, but am setting it up so that with the help of freeware apps, one could sync recipes from the site onto their iPod and take them with. (RSS feeds is the way to go with the freeware apps … wouldn’t mind finding something though that could kick out a WP entry as a text field, and then a person could add that to their Notes on their iPod … one entry vs. them all)
Sorry … lots of questions here. Hopefully you, or someone else that has some interest in it, could help out addressing them.
