In reply to: UNCLEGuys,
I just wanted to say this short bout of frustration…response…Wash rinse repeat. Made me laugh out loud.
I learned to type on an Underwood, (not many people even remember what one is) and emphathize with the poster….but the Heinlin quote…great!
At times understanding a techie answer to an analog brain like mine can be challenging but with patience, (from everyone) resolvable.
As another respected author said
” Go not to the Elves for advice, they will say both yes and no. For advice is a dangerous gift….
Even from the wise to the wise.
(now if I could just figure how to change the background on my kubrick theme)

In reply to: Do I need a plugin for displaying animated gifsHandy,
Thanks
DUH….well I’m only partly an idiot. I’ve got the animation to load, but it continually plays.(not what I want it to do). Also I’m getting some kind of degradation
in it as well….may have something to do with the transfer.
I suspect I need to make the thumbnail a link that will open a popup where the gif will play.I guess I’m looking for a video/flash/gif player plugin that will preserve the quality as well as play it in a popup when you click the image.
There’s about a million to pick from in the plugin section. Anybody have one they really like?
Just looking for a little guidance.
thanks,

In reply to: Do I need a plugin for displaying animated gifsThanks for the reply, but I’m not sure what you mean.
If you go to https://www.snakesonablog.com/….. and find a stickdeath, you can see what I want to do. He has a pic of the first frame of the animation in the post. Then when you click on the pic, the animation pops up in a new window, and plays. The animation is a gif file.
thanks,

In reply to: Changing the Header ImageYosemite…Goog,
Thanks a ton guys. I had to comment two lines of code out<div id=”header”>
<div id=”headerimg”>
<!– <h1>/”><?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?></h1> –>
<!–<div class=”description”><?php bloginfo(‘description’); ?></div> –>one for the main title(name), and one for the (description.)
Worked perfect

In reply to: Changing the Header ImageHedtheg,
I’m new to this and have been up against the same thing.
It seems I’ve been sending (and resending) the new header graphic file to the wrong place.
Instead of the ADMIN WP folder at my remote site, I sent it to the WP content…then to themes…then to default…
then to images.
That got it up on my site, but now the words on the old kubric header are showing through the new header.
Oh well next challenge will try to find out how to get rid of them.

In reply to: Changing the Header ImageYosemite,
Thanks for the reply. So I went back and realized I uploaded the image into the WP admin/images file at my remote host… wrong place to send it I guess. So I sent it to the WP content folder…..then to themes….then to default….then to images
This brought it up on my site, but now the letters from the old header are showing through the new header.
Do I need to remove something I didn’t?
site is https://www.stiknstein.com
thanx,
