One of the pages where this was occurring was https://www.xerces.org/pollinator-conservation/

There’s a string of events listed at the bottom. Before I updated, the sharing buttons only showed up on the main page, not on the posts looped in on the page linked above. I was also experiencing the error on some other pages, like a few of the items on this page: https://www.xerces.org/pollinator-conservation/gardens/

No, the custom post types use the same theme as the other posts (different page template, though). However, it worked on some of these custom post types and then stopped working.

Creating a custom plugin for this worked like a charm! Thank you so much for your speedy response, and for now it looks like this is indeed resolved.

Thank you for looking into this! I really appreciate the support that you provide for this plugin. I suspected that maybe Google had removed that functionality, which is unfortunate but obviously beyond your control.

I was about to post a similar question – I think I’m having the same, or a similar, problem. The mla_viewer seems to be malfunctioning on my site and will no longer display thumbnails for my pdfs. The code was working last week and I do not think anything on the site has changed since.
