Weren’t those templates under the GPL? So anyone can redistribute them, it doesn’t matter what the author says or what the developers think about them. Good way to get more hits to your site anyway, wish I’d thought of it first.

Any news on what the ‘fundamental problems’ and ‘usability issues’ with Gemini are yet? People who are using that template have a right to know, unless you are just making it up because Root is annoying. We would forgive you for doing that, you know ?? By the way, it’s nice to see that Matt has learned to at least acknowledge that he has deleted a post. It shows not all my work here has been a waste of time.
Personally I think that what is driving people away from WordPress is not the crappy template, it is the dictatorial and antisocial attitude of nearly everyone involved in it, as demonstrated beautifully by threads like this. I hope that anyone who reads this post before it gets deleted will remember that.

Yeah, there are some ‘regulars’ who like to throw their weight around in spite of not having any official moderator powers, and the actual admin can’t seem to keep them in check. I’m thinking of starting an alternative forum that would help EVERYONE, not just standards obsessives and suck-ups.

That’s not really relevant, is it? Somebody asked for well-designed blogs as an example of what could be achieved with WordPress. If you’re indifferent to design, fair enough, but that doesn’t really have anything to do with this thread.
