Some more research shows that this plug-in is not compatible with some other plug-ins, and for me it was specifically the Contact Form 7 plug-in. Deactivating CF7 resolved the issue… Now I just need to find a replacement contact plug-in and I’m golden.

As Alen1989 pointed out, this plug-in is not compatible with all plug-ins, and for me it was specifically the Contact Form 7 plug-in. Deactivating CF7 resolved the issue for me.

I deactivated/deleted both contact form and really simple captcha. I then reinstalled both from the WP plugin menu. I created my contact form with captcha = same result.

This time it did not create a wpcf7 folder. So I copied a php and png file from a backup, renamed them to match the current value being referenced in the code above (thus manually creating the folder and files). still, it only displays ‘captcha’.

Does something need to also be deleted from the DB when re-installing this plug-in?

Note: I have another WP site on the same server that uses this plug-in without error. So I don’t think its a sever configuration issue.

I have the same issue, no captcha image, and the text ‘captcha’ is displayed only.

    The source code shows:
    <input type="hidden" name="_wpcf7_captcha_challenge_captcha-156" value="172680513" /><img alt="captcha" src="https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_captcha/172680513.png" class="wpcf7-captcha-captcha-156" width="72" height="24" />

This directory is not empty however (there are 20 files in fact), and the directory has permissions of 777.

I also notice that the value of 172680513 is not present in the files in the directory. Corrupt install?

I have the same issue. Fresh install of WP 3.0.1 and YARPP 3.2b. All my posts display this error message. I notice at the bottom of the page it says there are no related posts (which is not correct). But here’s where it get’s interesting.

On a previous version of my site, (WP 3.0 and YARPP 3.19), I see no YARRP errors, and all my posts have related entries and work as they should. So I uninstalled YARPP 3.2b, and reinstalled YARPP 3.19 on WP 3.0.1). The errors messages went away, but all of my posts still say “no related posts”. Any ideas how I can get my posts to show up as related?

Clearly YARPP 3.2b has some issues with the latest WP 3.0.1, and I suspect YARPP 3.19 does too (given my experience above – unless a residual sql table from 3.2b was an issue rolling back to 3.19).

I don’t mean to bump this, but it is a critical item I’m looking for a solution on. I have since found a few solutions that involve removing a category link, etc. But for the purposes of dynamic navigation hyperlinks, where you only want to remove the parent hyperlink, and not its children category links, these solutions do not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! ??
