I’ve looked everywhere I can think, but I just can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. I just moved my blog over to self-hosting. I picked a host that supported WordPress fully and I set up WordPress 2.6. Got the old blog imported fine and I wanted to select a new theme. Here’s what I did:
1) Found the theme I wanted and downloaded it.
2) Went to file manager and selected wp-content
3) uploaded the theme into the directory
4) extracted theme
5) went to dashboard to change the theme, but the theme was not there.
Can anyone guess what I did wrong?

This doesn’t help. The link goes through the steps the person has already done. I have the same problem. They’re uploaded in the correct directory, file permissions seem to match the defaults, and I get no errors or extra theme options.
