Then post in their forum, not here.

I had my reasons for posting here, but thanks for the tip… and such a polite one at that. You’re the best moderator in the whole wide world.

Users -> Your Profile, top checkbox.

Yup, had that covered, but it’s always a good thing to double check right? It’s not the “advanced editor”, it’s the “normal” one that does this. The advanced editor is even worse!

I’m hosting WPMU. I don’t particularly want to edit all of the templates on my site (and each new one I add) and then write up a “how to” for all of my users when align=”right” or align=”left” were programmed into HTML for a reason. I would also have to figure out which templates already have such an option, rip that out, put in a new one that is the same for each template and, and , and …

This shouldn’t be happening in the first place when a simple text box is all it takes… and blah blah blah I’m ranting about the stupid WYSIWYG again aren’t I? Nobody cares I know. I’m the only one who doesn’t like it… I know. I know… I’ll go sit in the corner with the rest of the special kids.

Just on a hunch, and I am probably wrong, but you could try deactivating and then reactivating the plugin.

Have you tried turning off the WYSIWYG editor? Look under “users” – you can turn it off by unselecting “Use the visual rich editor when writing” at the bottom of the users page.

I don’t have an answer for you except to say don’t bother. It’s obnoxious, annoying and my greatest pet peeve online today. It’s worse than people playing music on their blogs. Here’s a clue, I’m already listening to music!! I’m already watching something – your blog!

Ah, I tried “Options” – “Writing” – “Users should use the visual rich editor by default” which had no effect.

I tried your solution and it works! Thank you!

Fixed! I don’t know the solution or what the problem was, but I downloaded the .tar file again, unpacked it again, reupgraded again and it worked. I wonder if it was just a corrupted download?

You’ll want to go and edit the index.php page in your template directory. Position it near the bottom. This will count all visits to your blog – main page.

If you place it in each blog entry, it will count every time an entry is loaded – If you have 10 entries viewable on your front page, it will count 10 times every time your front page is loaded. Not the effect you’re after, I am sure.

The code is corrupted because the majority of the tags used are not legal code for the body of your posts.

If you are using multiple templates or template switching – you can add this code to each template index.php file wherever you want it to appear in each template. Top, Bottom, left menu, pathway… etc.
