In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Corrections to Grid FormatIt did correct the dates and lined them up with the proper days. But now, when I set my google calendar to Sunday as the default first day, and set the plugin calendar to sunday as the first day, it actually displays Saturday as the first day?!? So I set everything back to Monday. I’d prefer Sunday to be the first day of the week in the plugin. But I am glad that the dates and classes now are accurate.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Grid view is squashed downNever mind…I figured this one out at least. You have to check the “always enqueue” option on the plugin settings.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Review this before posting…I would like to choose a dark font for the names of my event on the list feed widget. As you can see, they are in a white font, and they are hard to see. I clicked through all the options and couldn’t find where that option was. The widget is located in my footer, on the left side. I appreciate the help.

In reply to: Importing recent content after restoring database backupOMgoodness!! Thanks, it worked!! Whew. Now to set my backup plugin to back up much, much more frequently!

In reply to: Importing recent content after restoring database backupOh, okay. I wanted it to overwrite older versions of posts and pages with newer versions. I have the same number of posts since September (b/c most of them are pages anyway) save a few new ones, and those were successfully added after I imported my recent .xml file. Mostly, though, the changes I’ve made to my site since September were new content/links/files/information within existing pages.
So, if that is the case, what would you recommend I do? Delete content and then import the xml file?
I apologize for being so ignorant.

In reply to: Why does this keep happening?? WP says config file not foundOkay, I’ve gotten it back up again. For some reason between last night and tonight, the files that I moved to my WP folder have shown back up in my root directory folder. And when I opened my index file in my root directory, it was not pointing to my wp folder. so I changed that again, even though I changed it last night, and the site is back up. Can anyone guess why these changes are made without my knowing? Is it some type of back up or something my host is doing?

In reply to: Why does this keep happening?? WP says config file not foundBut the thing is, it worked yesterday, and there is a wp-config.php file in my wp directory (where the wordpress address is). I have created a different directory for my WP core files, and the config file is there. I followed all the instructions in the codex to put wordpress in its own directory.
So I just went through the wizard you linked to, and it says there was an error establishing a database connection.
What should I try next?

In reply to: Can't find wp-config.php file but it is in my directory! Thanks for checking. I just restored a previous version of my database and it worked after that. I wonder how it got messed up without my touching it in the past few weeks? Anyway, it is up now, and I am backing up again.

In reply to: Can't find wp-config.php file but it is in my directory!Okay, I did that on July 14th and got everything working beautifully. I made no changes to my site since then, but had this problem when I visited today. I know this seems crazy or paranoid, but when I went to investigate why it couldn’t find the config file in my cpanel file manager this evening, all the wp files were in my root AND my new wp directory, even though I removed them from the root file a few weeks ago! Also, I did the old stand by and switched to the default theme, and my content was all there. Sooooo, I deleted my premium theme and reinstalled it. Now I am getting a frowny face rectangle that says server error. Have I been hacked or something? I am currently chatting with my hosting folks now…

In reply to: Can't find wp-config.php file but it is in my directory! What I mean is when I typed in my url, I get the “can’t locate wp-config.php file” message. And so I made sure to copy my config file from my wp directory to my root directory. It is now in both places (root and wp directory) and when I call up my site, it is totally blank. Any help would be appreciated.
