In reply to: wp-members Login Redirect PluginDitto
Is there a solution for this.
We’re wanting people who login to a WP-Members login box on the Home page, to be redirected to a particular page.
Also when they log out, they would be redirected to the Home page (i.e. the only page visible to the public).

In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] Update to 4.0.41 – disappearance of existing formsI did not see the instructions prior the upgrade.
I will proceed as detailed.
Thank you
Hi Toriwid
The Export plugin we went with was WooCommerce – Store Exporter Deluxe
by Visser Labs. It is meeting our export requirements fine, including for the additional fields we set up using the Swiss Knives.

StuThanks uh

Yes the test data is appearing perfectly on the order and the confirmation email.
I guess I assumed incorrectly that the data in the fields generated from the plugin would be easily exportable.
The plugin is really useful as it is, but would rise to an even higher level if either it or its big brother pro-version was to be extended to provide an export facility.
I will investigate the “field data” thread and get something sorted. If you happen to have a recommendation for a plugin that you know would do what I’m after, then this would be most welcome.
Cheers

That should have read I’ve attended to it by adding a \

after time in month.php then …Great plugin!
The only thing I’ve come across that I would like added is for there to be a settings option to place the ai1ec-event-time on one line then wrap ai1ec-event-title in the month and week view of the calendar.
I’ve attended to it by adding a
after time in month.php then changing the relevant css from “nowrap” to “wrap”, but it would be great if future versions had this as a settings option.I have it in place (and with the small modification at https://www.mainzalumni.co.nz/calendar/

In reply to: Split blog to post in 2 separate pagesWe listed the category headings in the sidebar using the standard Categories widget and set the title as “Case Study Categories” in the widget admin area. The other plug-in we used to adjust the category order was WEssley Roche’s Category Order (Wessley Roche).

In reply to: Split blog to post in 2 separate pagesFor this WordPress site https://rocketscience.com.au/ the client wanted the blog to be set up as a vehicle to profile client “case studies” in five different categories. At this stage the client creates all the posts but acceptance of posts from the public could easily be allowed any time. We set the menu for the five “blogs” in the sidebar rather than the horizontal page menu but could just as easily have included them (as categories) with the other pages.
Consistent with the suggestions by Ruth and me in our forum entries, the actual blog containing all posts is not accessible from the menu, leaving the five categories of posts behaving as if they are separate blogs.
Hope this is useful.

In reply to: Split blog to post in 2 separate pagesSorry flaog but I can’t give you a link to the site yet as I have built it for a client who is withholding publication for several weeks. It certainly works and looks as if it is two independent blogs, each with its own “page” menu. I also have Recent Posts and Archives showing under their own “blog” names (i.e. category names) in the sidebar.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Split blog to post in 2 separate pagesIt works reasonably using categories. This is addressed in the final couple of forum replies on https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/two-blog-pages-for-one-wordpress-site-no-help-from-previous-posts?replies=24#post-2271747
I have virtually identical aspirations for my CMS as has been described by akanichiyoubi but have it set up tentatively almost as suggested by Ruth at Virtual Balance. The difference is that I am using TwentyTen, I created a page named Combined Blog and assigned it to be for the full blog, I created two Menu items named Blog and Issues as categories (reflecting the different categories for my assorted posts) from my “page” menu, but I didn’t worry about making the categories children of a Combined Blog category. I then excluded the Combined Blog from my menu leaving only the two category pages available to view. While it works fine it is not what I’m really after.
My dissatisfactions with this structure are that:
(a) the two category “pages” look like category pages (which they are) as they display only extracts of posts; and
(b) if I was to work out how to present whole posts (rather than extracts) in each category page (which is presumably readily achievable) then I would also presumably forgo the present benefit of being able to continue to have archives of each category of blog displayed in their present standard format as extracts in Archive Categories.
One strategy I tried and couldn’t make work was I created an extra page in my theme by copying page.php to a new page template which I set up and named separated-blog.php then added <?php query_posts(‘cat=58&showposts=2′); ?>’) ahead of the start of the loop. If this had have worked I was thinking of adding another page with (‘cat=48&showposts=8’).
If anyone with more expertise than me can take this to the next level I would welcome it.For closure’s sake, I advise that I found a solution.
Unfortunately I abandoned my efforts with WP-prettyPhoto, but found a workable alternative in NextGEN Gallery. So far this is working fine for my requirements.
Cheers
Stu-TDWFurther to per my posts 3 days ago, in trying to incorporate the “facebox” effect used on the site https://evomedicine.org/s1_12.html in a wordpress site I am building, I have now tentatively concluded that WP-prettyPhoto is the best plugin currently available to achieve this.
I have successfully installed WP-prettyphoto and it works absolutely perfectly for my images (which I am displaying individually for each page), but I haven’t been able to figure out what I need to do to display the image description content beside each image.
At a really basic level I’m now wanting guidance about such things as:
– Where do I enter the text for my description content?
– What settings do I need to change in the WP_prettyPhotos Options panel?
– What changes do I have to make to any php or css files to achieve what I’m after?
– What else do I need to do?I’ve had a go at doing all the things I considered obvious or likely but without success.
Any words of wisdom would be most appreciated.
