PS: Has any thing much changed in wp 2.0 in relation to styles? (I.e. will 1.5.2 styles work with 2.0?, or will I have to start again with wp 2.0 & make my self a wp 2.0 style?)

In reply to: Integrating WordPress with existing websiteRe: Hmmm… I don’t see anything about merging all those file in the article. Even more: since I wrote that, I am sure there is nothing like that in the tutorial.

When you are done, let’s return to our theme’s index.php. Delete every text, everything that is not important. In this example you should be left in the body section with only an empty table code which has two columns. (Eventually with a table with two nested tables if that’s how your page is set up.) If you have a footer – leave it for later.
Open the sidebar.php from the Classic theme. Copy everything from within the “menu” div, starting with the- and ending with the
. Paste it into the left (blue) column of your layout.
Next, open the index.php from the same theme and copy The Loop. (If you don’t know what The Loop is, read the previous page – Scenario #1 – and/or go back to the mandatory Reading list in the Intro.) Paste The Loop into the right (red) section of your file.
Now open the header.php from Classic and copy the beginning down till the </head> line. Replace the <head> section of your index file by pasting everything there. Our new theme’s index page would look like thisOf course, the example page doesn’t have any styling (except the table borders for illustration purposes), but your blog will have all the styles from your stylesheet. For further customization it is recommended that in The Loop that you just copied over look at the several CSS id’s and classes: post, storytitle, meta, storycontent, h2. You may want to add them to your own stylesheet with the appropriate properties and values. If there is nothing else on your page, we are done. If you have a footer, check the other examples to see how to deal with it.

In reply to: Integrating WordPress with existing websiteRe: <snip>you MUST have a style.css, plus header.php, index.php, and footer.php. Generally you also will have sidebar.php.</snip>
I do have a style.css, but to what I have read here:
https://www.transycan.net/blogtest/2005/07/05/integrate/That I can merge header.php, footer.php, sidebar.php. In to the one file (index.php)??
Or does that not apply for wp 1.5.2?

In reply to: Integrating WordPress with existing websiteThat is what I have done
But is still showing up the default design & not my design on those sections that I listed above.
Do I have to edit some more pages so my design will work on all the pages??
