I’ve been looking into child themes for the canvas theme – A lot of the stuff I’ve read is just about the custom.css and functions.php files – But I’ve got a ton of other core php files I’ve edited I’d need to put in the child theme.

Any ideas?

Is this issue resolved? I’m having all sorts of problems with it.

Update:

The Yoast WordPress SEO plugin is the problem.

I disabled it, and the categories worked. When I turned it off, the links looked like this:
.com/catagory/whatever whereas before the ‘category’ wasn’t there and it was just .com/whatever

There is an option to strip the category base within the plugin…and that option is ticked.

hummm. Thoughts? I’d like to have the category base removed.

Still having trouble with the width issue.

The code you gave me worked fine, but only when I removed the code below…

.entry {
overflow: hidden;
text-align: justify;
width: 559px;
}

If I remove this code, it ruins the layout of my entry’s on the homepage, and seems to remove the right-hand padding of my posts.

But keeping the code stops the full-width template from displaying properly…

Any ideas?

No joy with the code unfortunatly. The image still doesn’t display properly, and the content isn’t spanning the full width.

Should I remove the .entry width in the custom.css?
