Thanks guys I’ll check this out. I also noticed that it was causing this weird crash more frequently on the sites that I had Cloudflare enabled on as well. Must be the way that these two systems handle page caching.

I’ve developed a theme using the WooSlider plugin before and I was quite impressed by the plugin’s quality. I’ve been looking closely at WooCommerce too. Right now it seems like my #1 option, unless someone else can suggest something better?

That’s a brilliant explanation PorridgeBear. I was having the exact same issue as outlined by the OP, however I when I changed my permalink settings to default, and then back to /%postname%/ my single-posttype.php templates all of a sudden decided to work. Hope this will save some people time and headaches!

Figured this out. All I had to do was remove all the links from the post, hit update, and then add the links back in. I think his has to do with the fact that I was linking to https addresses- I kept my http links in the post when I updated it and it still worked. Weird.
