  • I also have EZPZ installed on over 10 sites and always thought I was protected by this in case of needing to restore a backup but after having my manual backup freeze up on me again today and trying to access backups via the generated email links for 2 different sites and being told that “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” when clicking on the provided backup links, I think it’s time to look at other backup options. What good is this if the backups it’s supposedly creating are not accessible? I installed WP-DBManager
plugin today and it seems to work fine but only backups the database, not the entire site. I’m going to look at the Xcloner plugin today also. What happened with EZPZ? It used to be a great plugin and the last few updates to it seem to have destroyed not only the functionality but also the confidence level of its users.

Ok, I figured out how to get the email confirmation to work. You need to set that in the Job Manager Admin Settings under Default Email. Once I did that, I re-tested submitting an application and received the email notification. However, there are still no Emails stored in the plugin under the Email section. Is everyone else having this same issue? I’m running the latest version of WP and the plugin. Also, is there any way to restrict what file types can be attached in an application such as .doc, .docx, .pdf, etc.? This would be very helpful to prevent people from submitting viruses through the form.

Hi, I am having the exact same issues mentioned by Ingrid. When I test a job application by filling out the fields; attaching a resume file and clicking the submit button, I am taken to the “thank you” page on the site. However, I am not receiving any email notifications about the submission. The applications do show up in WordPress in the Job Manager section but no emails are listed in Job Manager. I am assuming the default email these notifications are supposed to go to is the same one contained in the WP General Settings since I see no place in the Job Manager plugin to modify this. Any help is greatly appreciated because I am “this close” to getting things working the way I want them to with the plugin. Thanks!

Ok, I think I found the answer to my question at this link: https://pento.net/2011/02/20/job-manager-howto-customizing-the-job-list/. The plugin is very robust – lots of great features! My only concern is that many people with limited WordPress or HTML/PHP experience will be able to figure out how to use it. Some clearer documentation about how to customize the job list would be great. I also found a nice video tutorial on You Tube about how to create job listings with the tutorial but it did not go into any of the settings options which I think is the main thing people want to know about. The rest of it is very intuitive.

I just checked my email account and see that the automated backups have been working the past 2 days. This is on a new web site so the database is quite small at this point. I have noticed when running a background backup that the prompt box simply says “Ready to backup … site”. This stays there even after the backup has run. You have to click on the “+” button to the left of the Last Backup to actually see where the backup went. I’ve used this plugin for quite some time and always felt secure. I’ll continue to monitor how it works on my new site and keep my fingers crossed.

I just updated to the latest version of the plugin (12.01.24) and ran a Background backup. It seemed to work fine. The previous version gave me the same issue as other people have reported when trying to run a manual backup (a blank dashboard page with a timer counting up but nothing actually happening). Hopefully things are back to working now as I’m a little concerned about the reliability of the plugin after this. Thanks.

    Dear EZPZ,

Do we need to unistall the 12.01.16 version and try to find an older version that works or will you be fixing this issue? Thank you.

I am having the same issue as Alison. I tried to do a manual backup and nothing happened. There was no prompt or status update like in the past. I tried to do a Background backup and was told the manual backup is running. This was started over 10 minutes ago so it seems to be stuck and there’s no way of getting out of it. Thanks. I just starting running Release 12.01.16 today on WP 3.3.1

Sorry, I just got back. I am using IE8 but also tested it in Firefox with same results. The site is hosted by Host Monster. Worpress version 3.2.1. Everything was working fine for me until I installed the Jetpack update as reported earlier. What’s happening when I go to view the stats is that the WordPress animated “loading” logo spins and spins but never loads the usual bar graphs. I can see the other stats below like Referrers, Top Posts, Search Engine Terms, Clicks but it’s all jumbled up like the CSS is no longer connected to it. Is everyone else still seeing the bar graphs?

It’s still not working for me. I installed the latest update of 1.2.1 but the stats are not working. Do I still need to screw around with the .htaccess file besides the update or should I disable/remove Jetpack and reinstall it? I thought the update would have fixed the issue on its own. Thanks.

I have had the same issue since yesterday with some of my sites after installing the latest Jetpack upgrade. I seem to be getting partial information on the site stats page but the bars and graphs are gone. It appears unable to connect properly. Since I manage multiple sites, I will NOT be upgrading this again until they have the issue resolved as I have no idea what you are referencing with the .htaccess rewrites. Where would I this within WordPress? Thanks. Hopefully enough people will complain about the issue to force them to fix the issue ASAP.
