In reply to: [qTranslate X] GeotargetingI’m not sure I understand what you want to do, but check out ip-loc8 plugin – it will detect user’s country based on his IP and set QTranslate language according to the country-language rules you define
Just to let you know that it’s now possible to turn filename conversion off. Update to 1.4.0 (will be live in a few minutes) and check the FAQ for instructions.
Unfortunately no. I will think about adding an option in “settings” in the next version… But why would you want slugs converted, but not image filenames? In a way file names in cyrillic are even worse than urls – a lot of server issues are possible.

In reply to: [Lightbox for Responsive Images] does not workI tried using it with a standard WP gallery – isn’t this the most basic use-case for a lightbox? Theme doesn’t matter, as this is a WP generated code. I’m using the html5 galleries, if that helps

In reply to: [IP Loc8] IP loc8 to save location data to database?it will require custom work on your side (getting the data this plugin has fetched and adding it to the survey)

In reply to: [IP Loc8] IP loc8 and qtranslate-xForgot to mention you should get an API key from: api.ipinfodb.com
Plugin will not work without it!Do not click “city level” if setting language is all you need.

In reply to: [IP Loc8] IP loc8 and qtranslate-xHi, go to the plugin menu page in the admin.
Let’s say you have enable 3 languages in qTranslate: english (en) , german (de) and russian (ru). You want people from Germany and Austria to see the German version, people from Russia to see the Russian version and everyone else to see the English version.
You need to put “en” in the default language field and then create 3 rows for countries:
Germany – “de” in country code, “de” in language code
Austria – “at” in country code, “de” in language code
Russia – “ru” in country code, “ru” in language codePress save and it should work.
p.s. I will probably make the setup more user-friendly with country and language dropdowns in a future release, but I have been very busy recently

In reply to: [qTranslate X] Hook into language detection function?Yesterday ??
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ip-loc8/I forgot to include a small detail in instructions, I will update it soon, but in the meantime here it is:
Country codes should be UPPERCASE and language codes should be lower case.In the next version I will change it so it does not matter if you write upper or lower case, but until then you need to obey those rules ??

In reply to: [qTranslate X] Hook into language detection function?OK, so the filter above DID work for me, although it took me some time to set it up properly ??
I’ve made the whole thing into a very light plugin that checks with an IP database and then sets your site language based on the country (with rules you set up in the admin). Plus, there is a hook AND a GLOBAL for further actions by other themese/plugins (for example, set up shop currency as well). The plugin will be on www.ads-software.com soon.

In reply to: [Bulglish Permalinks] Converting old slugs?Hey, the idea behind this plugin is to silently convert slugs when you create new posts, without loading your site with too much code. To add a menu page and the option to convert old slugs would add like a thousand lines of code, which would be needed just once per site. You can just re-save every post through the quick edit, or if you have a lot of posts – you can write your own function to do this, based on your specific needs.
Hi there, it actually says it in the description: “Automatically converts existing post, page and taxonomy slugs when you save them”. Basically, when you press save – it will convert any cyrillic characters to latin.

In reply to: [qTranslate X] plugin strings in admin not translatedThis is pretty much what I’m doing so far as well, but is definitely not the most elegant solution ??
