Found the issue. What is now a fatal error in php 8 was just a warning before. I have a fix for it but will need to test it before releasing.

Ok got it. Sorry yes it appears that clicking install on each plugin works as well as bulk activation but the multiple install select flow definitely causes this error. Will need to look closer at this.

Also just want to confirm this is a fresh install and no custom themes or anything are installed. And that this happens with any collection?

Hi David! Can you confirm if this is just one collection that crashes or if its any collection you try? Sometimes a collection ends up with a rogue plugin thats either been discontinued or had some sort of slug change that janks up the installer.

Yeah sorry about that Charlie. I make sure it still works but ultimately its meant to be a pretty simple plugin and definitely not my main focus at the moment. I have lots of ideas to make it so much better just don’t have the capacity to work on it. That being said I would be happy to hear any of your suggestions!

Yup the issue is with your version of Curl. It’s way too old. There are a number of related thread but if you Google curl 7.29 WordPress you’ll find many examples of the issue. That version of curl cannot connect properly to APIs.

Sorry to hear that! This is often an issue with a particular plugin. If you want to send your collection to support at wpcore we can try to have a look. Could you let us kow the server specs as well? PHP Version etc.

Could you list some of the ones that cause problems. Unfortunately we can’t control how other themes instantiate the underlying library (TGM-Plugin-Activation). But happy to have a look.

If you dont own the collection you can’t edit it. However you can clone the collection and then have control of the newly cloned collection.

This is not a fix that can be made in a plugin. The fix is within WordPress core itself. You should also never edit WordPress core files because they will just get overridden when you update WordPress. I can see if I can find another way around this. Ultimately it looks like the TGMPA plugin has been all but abandoned.
