1. Yes, however this plugin does not allow for me to use my own USPS user ID. I presume it’s using a general ID owned by WooCommerce.
2 Yes, commercial rates were a lower price than retail rates in the past, even without me being able to use my own user ID.
3. I have logging enabled and there is no relevant info. When I enable debug logging, there’s only a packing log which determines package volume.

I’ve isolated this issue to the core WooCommerce plugin, so I’ll take my query over there.

@katerinaz This assumes that the bug is even detected on a staging site. Should I really be expected to comb through hundreds of elements of my website every time I update plugins, one-by-one?

We managed to catch the issue and proactively charge for shipping, but it was very inconvenient, and we lost some sales because of it.

I’m glad to at least know the culprit. I’d expect something like this out of the poorly managed Shipping & Tax plugin, but not from core WooCommerce.

@chrism245 The problem with the plugin seems to have resolved itself. Do you know what the cause was?

@elfstacy Interesting, I didn’t realize that the rate increase happened on the same day that the plugin stopped returning Priority rates. It happened around midnight, so that actually could be a probable cause.

So far there has been two other people who commented here with the same issue, but the mods deleted their posts. Can we get some assistance? This plugin has been whack for a long time now.

Just a quick follow-up, version 1.6.10 fixed the issue for me.

It would be cool if support acknowledged these issues that folks are helping them to address. But I guess it’s not like we pay them to use their software. Oh wait..

I just tried to refund a test order multiple times (all plugins enabled) and the error never triggered.

I suppose next time I have to make a refund, I’ll have to enable logging every time until it happens again.
