Hello. I have decided not to try further to figure out why this plugin did not work in my environment. Thank you.

I did as you suggested – export modified settings from another site, import the file into my site. I received a message that they were imported successfully, but the imported settings were not changed or saved.

I deactivated all plugins except for Footnotes, and I was still not able to Save any settings changes. Can you think of anything else I can try?

Hello Stoil – The logs don’t show any errors related to ““footnotes-made-easy.” I will try switching off the plugins and turning back on one by one.

But it doesn’t matter WHAT I change, nothing is saved. Even something simple, like the “Show identifier as superscript” toggle on the General settings page – if I switch it off, then Save, it does not Save the new setting.

If you want an example of a change I tried to make, change Options>Styling> from

ol.footnotes li { font-size:80%; }

to

ol.footnotes li { font-size:100%; }

Hi – I am not sure I understand – what you would like me to do?

Also, I am running WP 6.3.2, in case that is relevant.

Thank you Stoil. I tried to reproduce it in the WP instance, and the Save worked. Is “Saving” a setting change only a paid feature? I am using a free version.

I tried to modify two items – the styling size of the footnote text, from 80% to 100%, and I also added a footnote footer. And I also tried to test the “pretty tooltip” feature. I click on Save, but after the page refreshes the items reset to their default.

The customer bought one digital/virtual product and one physical/shippable product. She did have the option to enter a different shipping address on the WC checkout page, but she did not do it; when she was ready to pay, and on the PayPal checkout page, she changed the shipping address on that page. Can you confirm, or does anyone know — when details are changed during PayPal checkout, are they passed back to WC?

What is odd is that her WC Order details page has billing and shipping the same, but her WC User Profile page has different billing and shipping. So somehow WC received the alternate address for shipping, and (presumably) did not pass it to Shippo. I checked with Shippo technical support, and they said Order Details information are what are exported to Shippo.

I don’t think this is a common occurrence, but I would like to get to the bottom of what happened as we now have to ship her another item at our expense since her Paypal receipt shows she legitimately provided an alternate address for shipping.
