Thank you Johannes for this feedback, you have given me some things to think about. We do have some German content, as the subject of our site is a German lied singer. We don’t save personal information on visitors, but I did not think about what Google is tracking. I had no idea our site could be considered illegal in the EU, and I will definitely correct that. We mostly just want to know how many visitors we get, where they are from, what platforms they use, and what content they prefer. I will look at the plugin you suggested. Again, many thanks.

Thank you Johannes for looking into this. I deactivated Google Analytics, and you are correct – the Lightbox now works as expected on mobile. I am relatively inexperienced — is there a “simple” way to block the script for mobile, or does this mean I need to deactivate Google Analytics in order to use your plugin?

To clarify: I want the user to see a grid of thumbnails, then when they click on a thumbnail it enlarges, and there are arrows visible to click forward or backward. I don’t need anything fancy.

Thanks Matt. Changing to an instant payment gateway is not an option for us.

I think the deeper issue that complicates this is mobile device users who use apps to access email. I may be wrong, but even if the payment has cleared – if they are on the website and logged in, and if they leave their browser to go to their email app and then use the links in their Purchase Notes, when they are directed back to the website, the site will not “see” that they are logged in, so Pay for Post will not, and they will get sent to the Restricted Access page. Accessing links through emailed Purchase Notes won’t work for mobile users. It seems like the ONLY way for mobile users to successfully use links in their Purchase Notes is exclusively through My Accounts.

I have changed my Purchase Notes to direct everyone to go through My Accounts for links. Anyone whose payment hasn’t cleared will have a rough first time going back and forth, ad probably see the Restricted Access page, but once they learn to go through My Accounts it will be ok. That’s all I can think of to work around.

Has anyone else using Purchase Notes seen this problem? Help.

Thanks Matt. I am having trouble visualizing how this would be done. I don’t expect many people to buy this as a gift, so investing in an annual coupon plugin subscription isn’t practical.

When you did this before, how did it work? If I create a 100% off coupon, and the gift giver buys the coupon for the price of the restricted product, then what? Do I communicate with them to get the email of the gift recipient and then restrict use of the coupon to that email address?

ALso, you suggested manually creating an order and account for that user – could you explain what you mean?

Thank you Matt. I did not think about someone buying multiple restricted products. I did add a link to the Purchase Notes, which was very helpful.

I think I also misunderstood how Pay for Post works. My assumption was that if a person purchased a product, logged out, tried to go back to the product page by using a bookmark or link from their email, but was then “triggered” and sent back to the Pay for Post page, there would be an internal record of “last page requested”you could access – to which they could then be redirected after a log in. Since it would only be needed in this protected content situation, you could incorporate your idea above and put “Already Purchased? Click here to login” on the Pay for Post message page. Is that possible, maybe for an update for Premium?

My issue is not a redirect the first time through after buying, that works perfectly. It is trying to improve the quality of the customer’s following experiences accessing the content, especially those who have trouble navigating a website.

It sounds like informing people up front that they need to log in to their account first whenever they want to access the content will help confusion.

Regardless — in other ways this plugin does exactly what I wanted, and I am very glad to have found it. Thank you.

I am running Avada 7.1.1. With your plugin installed, editing of text blocks is affected: text is not visible in the edit window, edit tools disappear, and I can’t switch between Text and Visual modes.
