I don’t really care about the size, as long as its legal and gives me a valid postal address to use. For this reason, I don’t want to use a fake address either!
@wpyogi I’m not using a wp plugin for this yet, but even Mailpoet requires a third party email sender, I think. My problem is more general than related to a specific plugin. Hence I posted here in the Misc support section. I see a lot of wordpress users have email subscribe option, so I thought there might be a solution for me. I haven’t used a specific forum as I don’t know the options available to me, and hence don’t know in which forum to post.
@catacaustic The “law” refers to CAN-SPAM which is for U.S. based email service providers like Mailchimp. I have no reason to mail Mailchimp directly as I am not trying to get them to make an exception for me. I have clearly written that I am looking for alternatives. There is no universal law for the internet and I’m free to consider options in the UK(where I’m located) or elsewhere. If you weren’t clear what the question was about, how about asking for more info? If you’ve got nothing constructive to say, why comment at all? caustic indeed!
@ankitpr89 Thanks for the link. My concern with Mailchimp is not about price, its more of a privacy issue. I did take a look at Mailerlite though, but I didn’t get proper answers from their live chat support, and the reviews I came across weren’t good either. So I’m still looking for other options that provide reliable email deliverability without sending out my home address to strangers on the internet.

I found alternate plugins for all the modules of Jetpack that I was using and de-activated it. But when I re-activated W3 Total Cache, the same problem was back. I wish I could use this plugin, but I don’t see how!

Thanks for replying. Yes, it seems to be fine now. I deactivated all plugins to check. But it still showed the same. After a while it is working all of a sudden, and I’m not sure how. Could it be a delay in updating because I’m on cloudproxy by Sucuri? The DNS are pointing to their servers. Does that change things? Sorry if the question is silly, I’m new to all this and sometimes, it is a bit confusing!
