No solutions, but I came here to report the same issue in Chrome while viewing a pdf – it displays page 2 of 3, or it displays the bottom of the page, rather than the top when the display windwo opens.

True, the user can scroll to the top, but why is it doing this, and why only in Chrome? It displays the first page / beginning of the document in Firefox and in IE, while in Chrome it jumps to somewhere in the middle of the document when the window is opened.

You can view the behavior on this page of a site currently in development, due to launch next week, so a solution would be most helpful! Click the Weekly Bulletin link…

You can add whatever you want to show in the slider/spoiler, and I believe both will work within a text widget in a sidebar – just surround the form short code with with the spoiler shortcode.

Take out the colon and blank line after [select your-recipient: “” ?

I have this working and I don’t have a colon and I don’t have a blank line. If they are required to select a recipient, there shouldn’t be a blank entry…right?

I’m using the Easy FancyBox plugin on this site currently in development:

I ended up calling my hosting service; I was trying to make too many changes at once, without giving the sub domains and mapping time to “propagate” fully, before deciding it wasn’t working and trying something else.

They reset everything, told me what changes to make, and then give it 24 hours before changing anything again!! Also, I used subdomains, created them at restaurant.com for restaurant2 and restaurant3. Then pointed the domains restaurant2.com and restaurant3.com to the IP for restaurant.com. I also used the domain mapping plugin.

With WP Multisite, there is ONE install of WP, ONE host (the primary) and the sub sites are managed through the primary domain. The domain mapping plugin (referred to in your link) maps domains that may be listed with another provider, but there is no hosting involved for the subdomains.

Site 1 on domain.com on host A
Site 2 on sub1.domain.com on host A, URL Site2.com DNS points to host A
Site 3 on sub2.domain.com on host A, URL Site3.com DNS points to host A

Perhaps I misunderstood your question? If you have multiple installs of WP on different hosting providers, then you probably need to look into Infinite WP or Manage WP plugins to manage multiple installs from one login.

Multisite manages several sites from ONE install of WP.

To get the language options to show up, simply go to the Languages tab, and click the languages you want to show up – they will turn green when selected. Save, then go to your widgets menu on the Dashboard, and add the widget to your sidebar, or footer, or another area where widgets are allowed in your theme.

When you are logged in as Administrator for the site, and you are viewing your site, you should see the flags, or dropdown, or whatever option you have chosen to display the widget. When you click select the language to translate the site, a checkbox will show up under the flags that says “Edit translation” – check it, and you should see the “translation interface.”

I don’t know if this has already been resolved – here’s how to get rid of that [Show as slideshow]

In your Dashboard, Gallery >> Options, click the Gallery section. Then UNCHECK Integrate slideshow, and check “Thumbnails” under SHow first. Save the changes. Refresh your page. [Show as slideshow] will be gone, with only thumbnails showing.

OK – I have this resolved. What a process…. but it’s all working, almost.

What worked – or is working at the moment…

I went to the cpanel of restaurant1.com and restaurant2.com, and parked those domains.
Then I went to the cpanel of retaurant.com (the main site and the network install of WP) and added the two parked domains, in addition to the 2 subdomains.

Once those had resolved and all the “pending changes” messages were gone, I went to the Network Admin, Sites panel of the main dashboard, and I had three sites listed – restaurant.com, restaurant1 and restaurant2, no mapping listed. I went into the Dashboard of restaurant1, Tools>>Domain mapping, and added the URL restaurant1.com as primary for that blog. Ditto for restaurant2.com. And now all seems to be working as I expected.

The only glitch is that not all the images are showing; but that’s for another post.

In the meantime, I may just experiment with the code myself . . . we’ll see how much time I have to get into it how well I can understand how it all works.

OK–got it sorted, sort of! I hadn’t uploaded the custom templates I had created for the sign in form and guestbook display after updating the plug in – once I found those, the errors are gone and the Guestbook is displaying.

Now I have another question – but I will start a new topic…

I would also like to know the answer to a similar question – we have a slideshow on several posts, and when the viewer uses Ctrl + or Ctrl – to make the text/layout larger or smaller, the slideshow doesn’t do so well. It only “works” at one setting and the navigation is off the screen, and the photos are not centered if the setting is too high or too low.

Anyone have any ideas?
