Hi,

I’m very interested as well into a per user subscription to all new replies of a forum.

I’ve tried many bbpress plugin, and for now it’s impossible. Only the RSS feed let the user (based on his own choice) to subscribe or not to all replies of a specific forum.

Could you consider adding this option ?

Ok, so here is the mistake I made : I moved the site from a dedicated server to a shared hosting.

On a dedicated server, I would have never forget to setup the vhost, but on the share host interface, I just realised that an equivalent step is also required.

Shame on me!

Thank you WP4RE, it’s by reading a post on wildcard dns entries that I worked it out (even if the wildcard is not mandatory, it works for me without).

I created a “subsite” in the network named test.example.com, and I created a subdomain in my DNS records (test.example.com).

On my previous host, I’ve never used wildcard and it worked…but I will try with wildcard.

PS : I tried the most popular plugins (free one) and wasn’t convinced at all (that was one year ago). And I wanted the best with SEO. So using a network install, common theme, .po file is actually not bad. Just the link between the versions of a specified article is not auto created, but it wasn’t a requirement (a global button was enough, people most of the time read article in ONE language…not TWO!)

I didn’t created wildcard domains, cause in the future, I plan to run only 2 sites under the multisite (english and french version of a website).

So I installed Multisite on www.example.com (which is a subdomain yes), and created a second website test.example.com

And both www and test point to the server IP. But test.example.com doesn’t work…

The idea is to replace the whole mysql folder, and not just the one named after the base you want to recover.

I have the exast same problem. Upgraded to wordpress 3.5, with nextgen 1.9.5 and when clicking on the “upload images” button, nothing happens ??

Do you have some workarounds, rather than reverting to an older version of wordpress ?

I will only have 2 running sites on this MU wordpress, so it’s not a big deal to edit things manually. (even I would prefer over a plugin).

My problem is that the theme is the same on both sites, so if I put the GA code in the footer.php, how will it make the difference between the .fr and the .com ?

Cause I don’t want the stats to be merged into one report, I’d like one stat report per site.

So for now, i’ve created two distinct sites in GA (.fr & .com) and for each site GA generates some code. Here is the .fr code (and I have the same for the .com, with different account number)

Should it be the .fr or the .com page that render, how is it supposed to tell GA which report to feed ?

So maybe a better question would be : What is the right way in GA to deal with 2 sites on MU that share a common theme…and get 2 reports in GA !

Probleme SOLVED !

sorry for the inconvenience, it seems that the upgrade didn’t finished the last step : upgrading the database (I must have skiped this step thinking the upgrade was finished, cause this is another page we muste let loading)

so manually, si solution is to query this page :

https://your-domain/wp-admin/upgrade.php

It will ask you to upgrade the database, and voilà !

it’s that simple !

I guess the plugin updates are not advisable from now…

by the way, here are the apache log errors :
