In reply to: [I-Agree] Does this plugin record the agreement? It seems to me that some evidence that a user has or has not agreed is very important.
From your “Not yet” comment should I infer that it is being considered?
I might be willing to help in some way if I can. Definitely testing, possibly some code.

In reply to: [Spine] buddypress? has anyone triedWe did try it.
It did not work well.
This was surprising as the new BuddyPress is supposed to work with most themes.
Has anyone else of the 34,054 who have downloaded Spine tried it?
Any tips?
seems to be trying to go to “https://mysite.com/wp-admin/admin-post.php?action=backwpup”

In reply to: [Spine] Spine's column frameworkIt is even a little more confusing if you look at the innards of the front page template as it looks like Paul has continued to use the Foundation 3 names by adding a select few classes back in.
We normally delete the front page template and replace with one of our own.
If you do try to use SASS, consider the SCSS variant as it is a strict superset of CSS.
We also find the PrePros tool to be the easiest to setup. Saves the need for messing with the Ruby/Gems/etc. setup. Everythings is built in. It also will “watch” for changes in your SCSS file and automatically recompile. Optionally it can minify your CSS & JavaScript. There is a Mac version. Free version is probably sufficient.
Good Luck !

In reply to: [Spine] Spine's column framework@slamorte – You may not even need to recompile the SCSS, depending on what you are trying to do.
Foundation 4 (and 5) use different names for column widths like “large-3” instead of three. The ones you mention above are from Foundation 3.
Here is a guide to the upgrade –

In reply to: Foundation 4 / SCSS wayWe have heard of and tried Reverie. Unfortunately the new version 5 has a bug – missing a comma on line 95 of functions.php.
Destroys your confidence when a theme provider releases a theme without even making sure it will load. Even if it is free.
We tried tar.gz, and it works sometimes.
But we prefer to use zip as some of our other tools use it.

In reply to: Foundation 4 / SCSS way@alpinelakesdesign – we are using SASS in child themes, but that is insufficient.
I was down at Zurb last week, working on F5 pre-release, and told them just that. They do not seem inclined to do so.

In reply to: Foundation 4 / SCSS way@youknowjake – We agree. The challenge is to create a workflow that allows updating both the theme and Foundation, while being able to use SASS/SCSS in development of the websites.
@alpinelakesdesign – Reactor does not include the SASS/SCSS. We see that as a big negative. WHen asked Anthony’s response was:
At this time, I don’t use SASS on a regular basis. However, it is something that I’ve thought about adding in the future.

In reply to: [qTranslate] WordPress 3.7 ?This is NOT resolved. The question was not how to patch it. It was:
When will Qtranslate be updated to work on 3.7?
Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [qTranslate] It always disabled itself after new WordPress version releasedIt would be a good thing IF the author actually updated the plugin in a reasonable amount of time.
Sadly it appears very neglected or maybe abandoned.

In reply to: [qTranslate] WordPress 3.7 ?It is not working on 3.7 unless you want to patch it yourself.
There have been over 900,000 downloads, but this author won’t even let anyone help him to update the official version.
