Nevermind, I was able to get to the settings via the Widgets Page. Still, may want to remove that link as I noticed it is not there for Collapsing Categories.

This is not a big deal, but might be something to look into…I did a manual backup of my Gallery site and as far as the log shows (and confirmed looking on my Google Drive) the backup was successful and the files were uploaded. However on the WordPress Dashboard shows this under last backup:

Keep in mind due to the sheer size of the others.zip file (about 88 MB of images), it took nearly an hour to upload, but it did upload. Which is why I will only do the files on demand.

Something about this log file the forums don’t like as won’t let me post it. Let me know if you would like me to send it to you. Like I said it worked, it just displaying a false error message in the dashboard.

Yep, looks like everything is working now. Though I think there is one site that shows a backup error in the Dashboard but the backup did go through. It is the one that has an 88 MB others.zip file. I’ll take a look later and see what’s going on.

Doing a manual backup on the provider’s end of the DB then I will go in and drop that table. I haven’t had that plugin installed in a long time as evident by I don’t have that table in my newer sites.

Why don’t you just delete the ancient data from that table? Do you need to keep it around?

Yeah kind of thinking the same thing. I am not even sure what is or why it is there. Might have been an old plugin.

The next table is wp_statpress. I’ll email you a link to a manual backup made of the DB as 01/06/13 — too large to send the whole DB. As I seem to recall we’ve never got past the wp_posts table in the past.

Okay the retention part makes sense. But again why are there 8-backups when I only did 2 manual and 1 automated? 2 backups should be the DB and the content (without others.zip) 1 should be the DB and the content including others.zip file. For further clarification when I do a manual backup does it give the DB backup a separate ID or does that happen when an automated backup occurs at the same time for both content and the DB?

Looking at my Google drive I see two sets (11977235bd7f @ 18:20 and 370ab9d2155f @ 18:33) which have everything including the others.zip, however the 370ab9d2155f set there is no DB file, but there is a DB file uploaded a minute later (18:34) with the ID 25832d2ad5d8-db. On the server I am seeing 3 sets of backups. If this is what it is suppose to do then that is fine, it just seems like it is running more than it should not that I am concerned about running out of space.

Both these sites which I sent the logs for, I installed the plugin for the first time this morning and did a single manual backup (with the exception of the Unlikely Stories site which I did run again as I had to move some files into the wp-content folder so it could be backed up). It seems though when doing the manual backups it runs again a couple times with 30-minutes in between).

May be it is normal, so are you saying that when I successfully configure the plugin it will run the first automated backup? Though that still would not explain on the Unlikely Stories site I have 8 backups showing in the dashboard (and it is set to retain 5).

I suppose it is not a problem in that at least it is making backups, just seems like more than it should. I sent a screenshot of the dashboard and more detailed explanation..

Yes, I am wanting the feature. That particular blog is my most active and longest running, so it is important that I have some type of backup system in place.

When I am doing a manual backup it seems to be repeating the job (with different #’s). On one site I ran the backup once manually and my dashboard shows 3 are available. 1 backup has everything (content+DB), 1 is the DB only and the other is everything but the DB. Another site I ran twice only because I didn’t realize that I had content that needed to be moved into the wp-content folder, this one shows 8 available with a mixture of everything, files only, DB only some with and without a log.
Some of these have the same time stamp. Is there somewhere I can upload/send the logs instead of having to copy and paste them into here?

So far so good. I’ve added the plugin to a couple more WP sites and appears to work great. However, it seems to be creating multiple backups (2-3) of some of the folders (mainly themes and plugins). I’ve also noticed the DB backup is a different ‘job #’, but that is not a big deal as I can tell by the time stamp which backup set it belongs to. Last I looked it was still chugging along on that 88 MB others file for my Gallery site. I am heading out for the next couple hours and will see what has developed once I returned.
