In reply to: WP is messing with the categories!I already rebuilt my sitemap and I will resubmit for GWT.
However, how can you explain that my site is showing “Uncategorized” category with (5) messages, yet, none of the messages is in there?
But when I go to admin panel and check the categories, it says (0) messages is in “Uncategorized” (that’s true)!The only option I had is to hide that category so people won’t mistakenly go there and receive 404 error, but that’s not the real solution.

In reply to: WP is messing with the categories!Thanks sparun, but I don’t think that’s the problem.
Because, I can select any other category as default and still face the same issue in the moment when I deselect that “default post category” from the post.The real problem is why posts in “default post category” remain even AFTER you deselect it and how come that google sees those “missing” links?
I even searched the SQL base, but didn’t find any logical connection…Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Is it possible to group similar posts in one post?That’s interesting, however I already created the pages and it looks good. ??

In reply to: Is it possible to group similar posts in one post?I know that feature, but that wouldn’t suit my blog, because this one particular thing with 14 posts is an exception.
Anyway, thanks for helping me, I decided to use the PostList plugin but will turn those 14 posts into 14 pages.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Is it possible to group similar posts in one post?Thanks! That’s a good plugin for making links, however how can I prevent those posts from popping out on the main (index) page?

In reply to: wp-commentsrss2.php shows no commentsI got it.
I use feedburner and there I had /wp-commentsrss2.php address. However, after I changed to /comments/feed/, it worked!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wp-commentsrss2.php shows no commentsSame here… ?? Any advice?
Hey thanks it worked!!
Just to make sure everyone understands!
Here’s the simple php program that locates the exact absolut path:
<?php
$path = getcwd();
echo “Your Absoluthe Path is: “;
echo $path;
?>Copy/paste the above lines, save the file whatever.php and upload it to the same directory where you put your watermark file.
After that start that PHP file in your browser and copy the given address.
Then go to Gallery/Watermark and instead of URL paste the address.The main problem is – developer is not responding.
Author temporarily disabled the official nextgen forum. ??
Anyone?

In reply to: My WP 2.3.3 was hackedOmg…… this thread lost its meaning by this pointless argue. Is it 666 or 646? Doesn’t matter as both aren’t safe. So, let’s get over it! It’s a temporary change anyway.
I perfectly understood what hallsofmontezuma said in his second post and that helped me – I changed my .htaccess to 644 since my permas are well formated and I don’t need to modify them.
Thank you!

In reply to: My WP 2.3.3 was hackedOk, I understood, .htaccess is now 644 and everything is working great.
+++ Whooami, he thought that 646 is fine for apache to write down new permalinks structure, not to leave it afterwards.
I also changed permissions for wp-content dir. Now it’s 755.

In reply to: My WP 2.3.3 was hackedThanks for clearing this a bit, but if I set my .htaccess to 644, what about WP updating the permalinks when I save a new post?
The online WP manual says that it needs a 666 access in order to use permalinks. I assume this is not safe?!
