As often happens, I keep digging after I ask a question and often find the answer to the question I asked.

The answer to this one is to simply uncheck the “Show Message” box in the general settings.

Please excuse the post. I didn’t notice the same error had been posted. I swear I glanced down the forum threads but it looks like I should have looked harder.

I’ll accept your apology for the inconvenience. I spent a lot of time trying to resolve my issue of not being able to post remotely with one of my remote posting programs.

It didn’t occur to me that Wordfence may have been causing the issue or I would have come to this support forum first.

After hours upon hours of frustration of trying to figure it out myself I asked the tech support from my VPS host to look into my issue for me.

Wordfence is the only plugin that shows such a recent modification time. I recommend disabling the Wordfence plugin and attempting to make another post via the XMLRPC API. If the post works with this plugin disabled, then we can safely assume Wordfence is causing the problem.

All is well that ends well. I came here to determine if I would need to delete Wordfence completely until the issue was resolved and I’m happy to see it is as simple as unticking an option.

I don’t remember how this plugin worked (if it did) with Multisite or even what I was trying to accomplish at the time, hehe…

I’m now using a plugin called “Add to All” that works fine with Multisite… hope this helps…

I’m having the same issue but I’m still not able to get it fixed.

I have the wildcard sub domain set up and when I contacted Hostgator the tech support rep told me it was set up correctly and it might take 8 hours for it to work.

I’m wondering how newdon is getting along and wondering if there is hope for me. ??

Finally, if you’re locked out of your site due to a server error open your .htaccess and remove the Better WP Security section from it.

How do you do this if the file permission of the .htaccess file is set to 0444 and you’re locked out of the site and can’t access the server tweaks to change it back?

It doesn’t work for me. I have these options turned on:

Enable OpenID for comments
Do not require name and e-mail for comments left with a verified OpenID
Always approve comments left with a verified OpenID

I’ve tried different (and the default) themes but OpenID is not enabled for comments on my blog.
