If you can’t find it, it was basically a copy and paste of my first message:

The first slide on the slideshow doesn’t show up until just before the transition.

The slideshow is set to random order and no matter which slide comes first, the same problem occurs.

It’ll be in your “options” table (there’ll likely be some prefix before “options” for security reasons).

Search the database for where “option_name” is “genericons_options” and delete that entry.

Thanks Mika – I put the 4.0.1 code in from Github, deactivated the plugin, deleted the options entry in my database and then reactivated the plugin and it works ??

For anyone upgrading from 3.3, I recommend the default setting to be Legacy and Classic Genericons – otherwise it will break websites. I know that kinda defeats the object of the 4.0 rewrite but you need to gradually transition people away from the old icon set and towards the new without annoying too many people (my software engineering background kicking in there!).

Is there any way to use Genericons Neue in Menus? I copied in the SVG code from genericons.com but that triggers an error in my browser at it looks like XML injection.

I get the same problem – also caused by moving between Text and Visual view before publishing. The problem occurs if I publish whilst in Text view.

I have the rel=”publisher” in my header from the Yoast SEO plugin but that’s not enough to verify according to Google+ – it requires it to be a part of the link.

I could add an “invisible” Google+ link with it in but I would rather not as that affects screen readers.

Any news on this?

Looking into remarketing activity but if this isn’t supported by the plugin very soon then I’ll have to look into alternatives.
