@nrherron Thanks again.
What I’m curious about here is if this is a problem you see a lot? Since I have simply set a title and this shows badly on mobile, I would guess this happens very often – I don’t see any reason why my page should be different other than that the title is a rather long word.Even if I’m able to change the size in the theme settings, I feel like this should be set based on device type – like I normally do in Elementor. If I make it very small, it will look weird on the desktop, and if I keep it (normal size on desktop) it will show up badly on mobile (like the picture above). Just trying to understand the logic of the system and your suggestion here ??
Thanks a lot for another answer @nrherron
I did indeed change it in Loco Translate – my last post was just to give an update on the case and let others know how I solved it.I haven’t reached out to Elementor, since it seems to be a problem only with this one page and I have kind of accepted that I can make the page work by avoiding Elementor completely.
I can’t see an option inside Lifter LMS to set up a menu position. Under the menu settings in the WP dashboard, I can choose to set it as the main menu. That makes it show up, but it obviously removes my actual main menu.
What I’m looking for is simply a little menu that will let users go back to their profile to let them log out.
Setting this up inside Lifter would give the benefit of only showing it to people already logged in/enrolled. I can easily set up a button on the front page that links to the profile page. But at the top of each lesson there is a link to the course front page, a link here just like this but to the profile page, would help my users out.

Hi Will
Thanks for the idea. It’s simple enough to add new menus in WordPress, but this is an example of my problems with Lifter LMS. I haven’t found much logic in where things are in Lifter. For instance this situation: I have a menu, but then where do I tell Lifter LMS to include this in every lesson?
Lessons are set to use the default template, but I can’t seem to access that.
I’m wondering why in the documentation there isn’t an overview of the logic – which things are controlled from which menus and what is controlled by Lifter vs Theme vs WordPress default. I have been guessing my way through. And with other systems, I have been able to think through it logically.
Hi @nrherron
I see no change when using this, unfortunately.
I have been trying to experiment myself but with no luck.I have now deleted the broken blocks and simply built the page up from scratch – which is working alright.
The block “course instructor” is at default translated in Danish to “ret underviser”. This must be a mistake since the wording makes no sense in this context.
But it can be edited with Loco translate which I did in my case to fix it.
At this point I seem to have a working solution by simply avoiding Elementor completely for my front page of the course.

Disabling all the plugins makes no difference. I might just have been unlucky or have done something wrong initially, but effectively I have been stuck for the past weeks despite reading everything I have been able to find online and Elementor and Lifter LMS have not been compatible in my case.
That’s why I wanted to try starting over, but with an option to go back to this. So if there’s a way to set up a new front page for the course while keeping the existing one, that would be very interesting to me.
I did set those settings up a while back, yes.
When I edit lessons there is no problem. The problem is only with the course front page which I also enter into by clicking course -> edit from the main menu. When that opens up I see the standard Word Press editor (I think it is). I can choose between that and Elementor, but for the elements either made in Elementor or edited there, it shows that it’s trying to repair them, which doesn’t succeed. Some of the elements are then not possible to edit and text is stuck.
I’ll try now to disable all other plugins

It would be good to have the option to center the text. But primarily I mean the position of the buttons. It looks quite bad currently IMHO (see image at start of thread)
In this thread, you can see another use describing how they fixed similar problems:
https://www.temporary-url.com/45FC6It’s still unclear to me if Lifter LMS is supposed to work with Elementor or not.
There was another user on the FB forum who had experienced the same.
I think it is because I was editing both in Elementor and in the standard editor (by just clicking “edit”).I’ll try to post a video or screenshots. But since this has been a problem for a few weeks and I’m nearing the deadline: Is there a way to reset the course front page to default? Starting over would be a huge improvement since the page is in a very bad state at this point.
Hi Will
Thanks for trying. Unfortunately, it does not change anything visibly.
Here is an image of the current front page for the course. As you can see, there are some of the default elements but the entire menu of the course contents has disappeared. I’m unable to edit this due to the above-described conditions.
I asked about this in the Facebook group but was referred to this forum for this question. However, I still haven’t figure out a solution or heard from anyone who has. The problem persists when I try changing my active theme from Ocean WP to Astra.
Would you have any ideas for this @nrherron @jnr4u2 ?
It would be a great help
