In reply to: [Yoast Duplicate Post] Can’t Find Duplicate Post@yoast: Can you please explain how to proceed?
Found the reason for this now, too. I had created the credentials with the afore mentioned administrative user, which isn’t the same as the gmail account for which I want to use WP Mail SMTP.
After removing the OAuth connection and establishing it once again, this time logging in with the Gmail address as the google account (not the address of the administrative user), I got through the steps of confirming that the app can be trusted and is allowed to send mails.
Now it’s working, and I can even send mails to other Gmail addresses, which wasn’t possible before as Google discarded the mails before even putting them into the spam folder.
Case closed!I got the connection to work, finally. Trying a different mail account I took notice this time that in the step where you create a new project there was no organisation selectable to add the project to. That got me thinking. What was missing was the entire setup of a new administrative user, creating an organisation, verifiying the domain, and adding the mail account as administrator and project creator, before I could add the project as described in the above mentioned documentation.
Now the Gmail account seems to be connected successfully, as per the confirmation message from the plugin.
However, I cannot send e-mails with Ninja forms. I tested the contact form and see the following error message in the log of WP Mail SMTP.The same error occurs when using the Test E-Mail feature of the plugin, by the way.
Mailer: Google / Gmail {
"error": {
"code": 400,
"message": "Mail service not enabled",
"errors": [{
"message": "Mail service not enabled",
"domain": "global",
"reason": "failedPrecondition"
}],
"status": "FAILED_PRECONDITION"
}
}
What’s the issue here, now? I am absolutely positive that the Gmail API is active, enabled and set to “External”.- This reply was modified 2 years, 2 months ago by superninchen.
When I edit the OAuth settings in Google once again, I am required to add my own domain as the allowed domain, in addition to wpmailsmtp.com
Now I get an Error 500 from Google when I want to allow the plugin to use the Gmail account. Weird.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast Duplicate Post] Can’t Find Duplicate PostI have the same question.
On one page I see the notification at the top of the page that it has been copied for republish, but I cannot find said copy. There should be a link to said copy version of the page/post in that message.
Also, there should be a cleanup function in the plugin’s settings if there are obvious hickups with pages that supposedly have been cloned, but where those clones don’t seem to exist (anymore).
How do I proceed to either find the clone or get rid of the notification?
TIA

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Weird behaviour with “add to cart” button@all Thanks for the help so far.
The caching plugin was configured to exclude the account, cart, and checkout page. Anyway, the problem does not occur with any of those pages.
Also, the stock status is not the reason for the mix-up, as clearing the cache wouldn’t have an effect on it. All affected products are “infinitely” available and cannot run out of stock.
Disabling the caching plugin is not the solution either, just a temporary workaround until the problem can be solved. The goal is to have a proper caching for the sake of optimizing page speed. Therefore, leaving it disabled is not an option.
Hoping to hear from someone who has had the same problem and found a fix.
Cheers

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Weird behaviour with “add to cart” button@nathvi @roxannestoltz Thank you for your reply.
The products aren’t variable. They are simple products, downloadables, so they aren’t out of stock either.
As said, deleting the cache fixes it for a while. This wouldn’t be the case if the products were out of stock or variable.
As an intermediate fix I have disabled the caching plugin and will observe if this is th culprit. But still it makes me wonder how the buttons can get mixed up in the cache.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] og:url always points to home page?? You’re right! I wasn’t aware that the meta tags with the openGraph attributes are present TWICE! ?? How could I not see that?
Thank you so much for looking into this. I’ll have to go check and see where the second set of meta tags is coming from.
EDIT: I found the tags in the theme’s header.php
Cheers,

I can see it at the bottom of page 2.
But installing Yoast SEO alone does not bring your website automatically a top ranking. It’s only there to make sure your site and its pages meet all the requirements for a good ranking.
You have strong competitors on that keyword like LinkedIn, Instagram and a lot of directories, it seems.
It will surely take more than a couple of weeks until Google recognizes your website as a greater authority for the given keyword(s) and display it further up in the SERPs.
Hope I could help.
Sascha

In reply to: [Wordpress File Upload] Upload File Button not WorkingSame here. Just tested the plugin but it throws a couple of JS errors in the console when loading the page “Cannot set property of ‘undefined'” for various variables.
When clicking the “select file” button and choosing a file the textfield that should show the file name remains empty and the upload button remains disabled.
EDIT: it happens, when the shortcode is inserted in Elementor. See https://nord-liebe.de/upload
The upper shortcode was added in Gutenberg, and then the page was edited with Elementor where I added the same shortcode in an Elementor text element. The second upload widget doesn’t work.
