  • Not sure but did you check the file size of the .sql file to see if it actually backed up any data?
Its a long shot, but it happened to me when using an old version of the WP backup hack… It was fixed after upgrading to the current version of the hack.
sorry I could be more help on this one…
    Good Luck.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m all for leaving the pointless arguing to John Kerry & George W. Bush
    Joe.

One of the reasons this can occur is that your disk is full. Your storage quota has been met and you need to free up some space on the drive in order for WordPress to breathe again.
Also check that the filesystem in which WordPress is installed is in working order.
https://wiki.www.ads-software.com/index.php/Error28 contains the official answer, fix and detailed information about this issue.
    Good Luck.

    Criticise you?
At no point have I or will I do such a thing.
Posting a link to allow people to view the site that has the issue at hand is not ever going to be in the worlds best websites hall of fame.
Nor did I ever claim that the site is great. I am learing, therefore the site is going to reflect that.
I am sorry if you felt that I critised you. It was not my intention.

Usually this is caused as a result of cookies being disabled. Make sure that your browser has cookies enabled.
Also check the browsers security settings. Having the settings too high will disable cookies.
Also make sure that if you have a software firewall or antivirus software that they are not blocking the use of cookies.
    Good Luck.

    Wow.
I checked out php.net per the above post. They have a link at the bottom right of each page that allows you to view the source (including php of course) of the current page.
As that is really helpful I should have been more specific in my intial post.
I would like to see the source (including PHP) of a WordPress blog that has been integrated into a pre-existing site template.
This would help me a great deal as I am a very visual learner. If I can see how and where the PHP code is inserted into this type of layout I can then better implement it into my own site.
Examples in any case help my level of understanding.
Again, to make myself clear I am not attempting to copy or steal the source of somebody’s website that they worked very hard to put together. I am attempting to create my own site, not copy someone elses.
That being said I pose the following question… Would anyone (with the type of layout I am attempting) be willing to share thier WordPress index.php file with me? I would be looking for WordPress index.php files that have been integrated into an exsiting website template.
    Thanx
    Joe.

Did some minor research on Google about this.
Seems like it would be pretty stupid to allow the PHP code to be avalible to whomever wanted it.
As Hella stated above there is a security risk that includes sensitive data being displayed.
Also, It could end up being a hackers dream if they were able to see the code if it were written poorly or had any holes that had not been patched.
Should have searched Google more extensivly before posting here.
    Oh well, Live and learn.

I would love to debate this issue with you.
The WordPress forums are not the place to do it.
I will note that you do have some vaid points in your last post.
I am not running, I just like to pick my battles. I do choose to walk away from this one as this is not the place to discuss this topic. We could resume it in an apropriate forum if you’d like.

Oh, it all makes perfect sence now…
It’s all our fault cause we live in the United States.
And I’m the one acting like a child… riiiight.
A Moderator or Admin should lock this thread. It’s orginal pourpose has been served, now its just become political like everything else. I dont think this fire needs to be fed.
Mr. Anon – Please accept my apology if I have offended you. It was never my goal.
Thanx to everyone that helped me with the original issue.
    Joe.

As for Mr. Anonymous poster near the top of this thread…
What gets me is how people that have negative comments to post always hide behind the “anonymous” shield.
It is when they are not willing to identify themselves that I dont give thier comments any credit.
However if they were willing to carry on a debate like a civil human being and not remain faceless I’d probably have a different outlook.
It’s funny to me how those people that are shy in a social setting usually turn into Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh while in front of a keyboard.
So, Mr Anon – I assume that as soon as you were born you knew everything about everything and never experienced a learning curve. Therefore you have no tolerance for anyone who doesnt know everything. I am sorry that I am not as smart as you. I am sorry that I dont (yet) understand how WP, CSS and other technologies work. However I am making an honest attempt to learn. This includes using all of the resources avalible to me. These forums are a great place to ask questions about and in regard to WP. Previous posts I have made here have rendered a very helpful community of people that dont mind offering a helpful hand.
Then again there is always a black sheep in the family…
I too monitor these forums and if I can provide any helpful insight to anyone here I will give back to the community. A lot of people just want all the answers and are not willing to do the work or give back to the community. I am not one of those people. I respect the WP community for providing newbies with help instead of wasting space in a database with a post that only contains flames that do nothing to futher anyone.

The mock-up you provided is P-E-R-F-E-C-T! Thank you! It’s exactly what I have been trying to do.
I will study the code and learn how you accomplished this. I am very interesting in learning and not just having everyone do it all for me.
I cannot tell you how much I apprecate you taking the time to help me. ??

Thanks again for the links and info, I’ve already found a lot of good info from them.
I see you caught on to my biggest weakness. I am VERY impatient. ?? I want it all right now! But I have made a decision to learn and do it right instead of having it right now. It should be worth it. I would rather spend the time blogging, but I guess I should set the foundation first.
Thanks for taking the time to help. It was way more than I’ve ever got and or expected. Great community!
    Special thanks to:
