Ok. Will try.
ThanksI tried installing older versions – 10.18.5 , 10.18.4, 10.17.2 & 10.10
In all the cases, the ad banner on the top of the website is gone now.
BUT, the ad banner at the bottom of the site is still there.I may have to deactivate the plugin for now (till a solution is found).
Hi Jasosolutions
I don’t know why renaming the plugin folder doesn’t work for you.
Well, there is another way to disable the plugins. That is through phpadmin. You can access it through the cpanel. I haven’t tried it though.
Here is a youtube video explaining how to do it. This will disable all your plugins. Then you can activate it one by one to see which plugin is causing the problem.

yogaadmin at https://www.yogicwayoflife.comHi Camu,
The problem is fixed. Thanks.
I had renamed the plugin directory to wp-slimstat-tmp to deactivate the plugin temporarily. I renamed it back to wp-slimstat.
Then I ran the update. I worked.
Thanks

In reply to: Secondary Sidebar displaced after upgrade to WordPress 3.6.1Thanks Media X , for the input.
I tested in firefox and crome. It works.
But the problem seems to be in IE 10.
May be some compatibility issue with IE10.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Upgaded to slimstat 3.3 and not seeing visitsI had the same problem when I upgraded to slimstat 3.3
I was not seeing any visits.I took the drastic step of deleting Slimstat and reinstalling it. I lost the old data. Fortunately I had only about 1 month of data; so didn’t mind it.
Now it seems to work fine. I think, the problem has to do with some entry in the database that the new version is not interpreting correctly.

In reply to: [Social Sharing Toolkit] Facebook button not showing-upHi, I had similar problems after I upgraded to Social Sharing Toolkit 2.1.4.
I fixed it by deleting all the social plugins and reinstalling the older version of Social Sharing Toolkit 2.1.3
It seems to work for me. I am using WP 3.6
But a new problem seems to have come up. Some complained that they are not able to see the facebook share button on my site while using Firefox (It works if they use IE !). While most have no complaints even with firefox.
I don’t know if it has anything to do with the version of Firefox. I am using ver 22.0 and it seems to work for me.

Hi Bernard,
I tried in forefox too. It works for me on my laptop (windows 7). I am using Firefox version 22.0I called a friend who was using Firefox version 4.0 . I works for him too.
I don’t know why it doesn’t work for u. But I noticed that the facebook icon, takes a little while (a small time lag) to appear.Iam using wordpress 3.5.2.
I don’t know if upgrade to 3.6 will solve this for u. I am yet to upgrade as I heard lot of stories about bugs in 3.6 with respect to image upload.
Let me know if u find a solution.

In reply to: Facebook share icon goes missing after social share toolkit updateIt seems to be working now!
Here is what I did. I removed (deleted) all the social share plugins ( I had two – Social Sharing tookit and Twitter facebook social share).
After removing both, I re-installed the older version of Social Sharing Toolkit 2.1.3I seems to be working now.
