In reply to: [Clone] URL's Not Resolvinghey guys, I want to contribute because I found a workaround that solved everything for me very simply.
I tried @themadproducer technique and also tried following @kr4ft3r instructions too. Nothing worked. I was screwed but luckily found this solution which I wanted to share with you.
Download this free plugin called search and replace.
Activated it
Backup your database
Go to the top tab that says “Search and Replace”.
Now search for: “www.yourolddomain.com”
Replace with: “yournewdomain.com”
Check off all tables
Check off dry run
You’ll see the tables at the top and how many items will be replaced.
Now do the same exact thing but uncheck dry run.
check off the box (save changes to database) at the bottom
Do search and replaceThat should do the trick. Be sure you backup your database in case it doesn’t work. Do it at your own risk though, it worked for me. I can’t see how this will mess anything up if you follow the instructions above but again, it’s up to you.
Good luck and I hope the new plugin will be corrected.

In reply to: [Sharedaddy] [Plugin: Sharedaddy] Fatal Error – (My php is updated to 5)I’m using a MAC, and I tried using my text editor, but it won’t save it as a .php file as instructed on the link, only as .rtf
my microsoft Word version doesn’t save it to that format either.I contacted GoDaddy (my host) twice and they said to me both times that I’m running a php5.
Even if the script says I’m running a 5, what is the next step I can do? Maybe GoDaddy is bullsh*ting me?

In reply to: [Sharedaddy] [Plugin: Sharedaddy] Fatal Error – (My php is updated to 5)Thanks John, but I’m not sure how to create a script called info.php.
Do you mean go into my themes and edit my info.php section? and add the <?php phpinfo();?> string into that section?
Also, how do I access the script from the browser? You’re speaking in another language most of us don’t understand, I was a computer programmer and I still don’t understand what you mean….
but thanks buddy and I look forward to your clarification so I can try and resolve this.
